If Forever is not Enough

I woke up hearing a noise in the background, something like or rather someone bickering.

"But Neil, we can't just let her be! Who knows if someone was trying to kill her and she was only lucky to get away!" said a girl. Wait, are they talking about me?

"Listen..." Someone was about to speak but then got interrupted. I opened my eyes but suddenly regret it. All I see is white and it's hurting my eyes. Then I slowly opened my eyes again and adjusted to the lights. I slowly sat up and scan the room where I was in but nothing came to me. The curtains, the bed, everything is not familiar and then my eyes settled on the two. They look like married couples maybe in their mid 40s. 

The woman is beautiful. She has brown eyes and long blonde hair. She's about 5'5. She looked at me and then smiled. And then there's the man standing beside her. He looks scary with his muscles and broad shoulders. He is probably 5'8 and has black hair and blue eyes. The woman came to the right side of the bed and sat with me.

I cleared my throat to check my vocals and then I tried to speak. My words came out very soft and too raspy.

"Easy there girl, here drink this" the woman handed me a glass of water. I stared at it and then gently took it from her. I dont trust the water and so are, they but if they want me dead, then they should have done it already. So I took a sip and...then drank all of it. The woman took the glass from me and put it on the bed side table. 

"How are you feeling, honey?" she asked. "I....I dont know." I stuttered. It's true because I dont even know this place nor them. Im confused. I tried to remember something, anything but it only makes my head hurt. "I..who are you?, why am I here?" I asked them. The couples stared at each other and then silence.

I waited patiently for them and also tried to look at my surroundings again. I felt a warm hand grabbed mine. I felt the urge to take my hand away but the warmth stopped me. I stared at her and then at the man who is now walking towards us. "We found you offshore after the storm" the man said for the first time. Storm?? I didn't know there was one and offshore? why am I there? but I can't remember anything.

Seeing my scrunched face, the woman said "It's okay, we'll talk about this later. Just rest for now. I'll bring food later." After saying that they left leaving me alone. 

I pondered for a bit, asking myself over and over if who the h*ck am I. But I got no response. I sighed heavily and scan my surroundings, this room looks nice, I guess its a guest room. The light green walls and the dark green ceiling looks good. There's a painting too. I decided to look outside so I climb off the bed. There's a balcony connected to my room so I went there and was memorized by the view. This house was surrounded by forest and then theres also the sea. Maybe thats where I was found.

I sat there just staring at the beautiful scene infront of me. "Aren't you cold to be outside?" a voice startled me. I looked back and saw the woman earlier with a tray, probably food. And then I looked at myself. I was wearing a sleeveless lavender gown. Its beautiful. I looked up at the woman and smiled. The woman returned my smile and then offered me the food.

I thanked her and begun to eat silently but she asked me "What's your name, honey?" I was taken aback by her question so I stopped eating and look straight to her eyes. 

"I don't know".
