LOGINA few days later.
"Miss Clara, get me a coffee," Clara's supervisor said irritatedly, "and remember, it should be strong."
Clara sighed. Was this a mistake? The question was continuously twisting in her head.
She has agreed with her father, now she just has to endure for a little while.
Now Clara's schedule was super tight. Bright in the morning, she has to report to the production house and be an assistant to the creative director where she is supposed to observe and learn.
In the evening, she interns at a talent agency to understand the dealing. While after every alternating day, Clara has a private session at Day's Mansion to report her observations and discuss her finding.
Along with this, she also learns how to control her emotions. Clara sighed.
Even though her schedule was hectic, Clara had to sustain it for two months and learn as much as possible.
After these two months, she would start her own company. She wanted to prove herself to her father, the shareholders, and herself.
While walking hurriedly on the road, Clara's mind drifted to the event a few days back.
"She is too young." One was the shareholder roared angrily.
"A year will not make any difference," the other supported.
"I don't think anyone will allow it," Some voices spoke in support of others.
"She is just not capable enough," Everyone had their views. But most of them were to oppose Clara. They knew that she would be taking up the CEO's position, but no one thought it would be so soon.
Most of the shareholders were even thinking about making a competent person of their choice stand against Sheldon's. But a year is not enough to cultivate anyone to hold such an important position.
All the noises in the meeting room were poisonous for Clara's ears until a clear voice made every background voice silent.
"I support Miss Sheldon." A clear voice broke through as swords through the noises.
"Uh?" Everyone turned towards Evelyn, who was sitting beside Mr. Sheldon.
"Think about it, she is too young to understand these things." One of the shareholders voiced his opinion.
"That is true, she is immature and too emotional," the other backed him up.
"I am just a year older than Miss Clara," Evelyn's eyes sharped.
"So, according to your logic, I should also be immature," Evelyn tilted her head as she drummed her fingers on the table. Fury vibrated through her trough.
"N-No No." The shareholder's breath shook.
"Then?" Evelyn asked in a flat voice.
"We are just trying to be logical here,"
"We just feel your decision might not be good for the company,"
"We just want you to avoid the embarrassing situation,"
Evelyn did not pay any heed to anyone else. She asked in a low voice, "Mr. Sheldon, what percent of shares do you own?"
"42%," Mr. Sheldon said blankly. He was not sure the shareholders would react like this, but still, he had a hunch that this might arise.
"I own 20% as of today," Evelyn continued, "I think we can decide what is good for the company, isn't it?"
Evelyn's words obliquely made everyone's mouth shut. It was a clear declaration that they are in full authority, while the others just have to sit back and enjoy the money coming.
Clara saw the power a good leader holds. A few words turned the whole situation around. Evelyn could control, and she did it effortlessly. Clara wanted to be like that.
Clara wanted to hold such power, making it harder to avoid her words.
Clara was immersed in the thoughts as she pushed someone unknowingly. The coffee on the other person's hand was spilled on his white shirt.
"Shit!" Clara said instinctively. Her hands were trying to wipe the shirt.
"It's okay," the man tried to stop Clara's hand. His large hands hold her smaller ones in a place. His voice was low and husky, making Clara feeling hot.
Clara’s face jack towards the source of warmth.
She was sure that she had seen this person somewhere. But she could not recall where.
"Y-yo.." before Clara could say a word, the warmth that was surrounding her left her side and went off.
Evelyn marched through the door of the company. Her powerful steps were confident and determined.Everyone was looking at the lady in black. Her dress was well fitted, and she was flaunting her figure. Her milky white long leg
Clara's eyes widened. She has heard this voice before.Clara knew this voice. She can not forget it.
Clara entered the restaurant. Her hands were hurting her a lot.She had a dreadful night, scrubbing on the paper with all her experiences. Initially, she wanted to type but then was suddenly informed that her supervisor Lily p
Evelyn emerged herself in deep thoughts. Many things were dancing around her mind, from her meeting with Kyle to Alexander's loving words. Mr. Day, whose face was clouded with worry, knocked and opened the study room door."What are you doing here?" Mr. Day's gaze scanned the dimly lit room. Hardly a window was open, making the atmosphere gloomy and suffocating.Mr. Day saw his daughter sitting on a chair with a clouded expression."It's already late. Sleep.""Y-Yes, I was on my way" Evelyn's speech was soft and faint. She was too immersed in her thoughts to know when her father entered."What's wrong?" Seeing his child distracted, Mr. Day asked, as he entered the room while closing the door.Evelyn looked at her father's worried expression.Lucas Day was not that old to start. Her father was even younger than her mother. Yet as his eyes dropped to look at her, they were alwa
"P-Pa-Pardon," Clara wanted to curl up in shame inwardly. Her mind was screaming at her stupidity with 'He remembers' like a broken recorder.
As soon as Alexander entered the room, his eyes centered on Evelyn. She was lost in her thoughts, staring at a paper in her hand, looking forlorn in the vast room. Her sights were blurred, without any focus.Hearing some noises, Evelyn's eyes wavered for a brief second until she glanced up and met him.Gazing at her eyes, Alexander remembered noticing her in the elevator for a brief second further Kyle's face just seconds ago irritated him more. What struck Alexander more was that Kyle and Evelyn were together in a room.'What did they talk about?''Why was Evelyn so lost in her thoughts?''Was she thinking about Kyle?'Alexander's heart was filled with hidden anxiety. All he desired to do was to hasten towards her and take her in his arms. And he did just that. When the only additional person apart from them left the room. Without much of a thought, Alexander r
