She is not like that

Clara entered the coffee shop in a daze. 

Just before ordering, Clara saw two people in the line for ordering. They were talking with each other. Clara's hand itched as she wanted to listen to their talk, but...

The girl turned around looking at random things, and her eyes stayed on Clara a bit.

Clara remained calm. Makeup has really done well for her. 

Clara has cut her long blond hair till her shoulders. Her coffee brown eyes have now turned light brown due to lenses. Her face shape is the same, but she has nerdy specs dazzling on her eyes. With some light flicked around her cheeks and nose.

Clara smiled mildly, whereas she wanted to chuckle. They did not recognize her. A disguise can be fun sometimes.

'They both are on a morning date.'

Layla said something which makes Kyle smile at her. He took hold of some of her hair and tucked it behind her ears before whispering something in her ear.

Clara turned around to distract herself.

"Your order will be out in 10 minutes."

Clara waited along with others for her order. Unconsciously she shifted towards the people she knew. When she heard some murmuring.

"We should try one more time." Layla's voice had a desperate tone to it.

"I don't think it would work any differently," Kyle replied.

Layla looked at Kyle for some more explanation, but she was disappointed.

Kyle was engrossed within his own thoughts. Evelyn has been continuously canceling the appointments. He has been trying to meet once, but there is no opportunity.

"You think it is because of Clara?" Layla asked hesitantly. Her eyes lingered on Kyle's face to catch any changes.

Clara's face shifted in the wrong way. Why was it her mistake? 

"Uh?" Kyle gave a questionable look

"I heard she has been meeting Evelyn a lot lately," Lyala said. There was no denying that she was envious. They have been trying so hard to have just one meeting with Evelyn, but haven't succeeded yet.

Kyle's family power did not work either. There were only a few families who would not subdue the Black's. What Layla never anticipated was that Evelyn would be one of them. She was still not able to forget Evelyn's words about Kyle that day.

"Are you implying that Clara badmouthed us?" Kyle asked, his eyes narrowed dangerously, "She is not that type of a person."

Layla was jealous of the trust Kyle had for Clara. She knew that he loved her, but there was still a special place for Clara, which her greedy heart wanted to possess.

"Yes, of course, she is not like that." Layla's mood plummeted.

Clara was started for a few seconds before she could return back to her senses. Their relationship was broken, but Kyle still trusted her. 

Clara was conflicted in her heart. A storm was beginning to brew, which she has been trying to avoid for so long.
