View MoreMelanie's POVWhat the hell just happened now? How could all her wish and order-like words come to pass just like that? I stared at her."Janet, what's all this?" Steve asked. "You did it to them, right?" I also asked. "I don't know" she shrugged."I'm as shocked as you are" I drew closer to her. "Girl, do you have super powers now?" I asked stupidly but I can't help it. Something as such just happened in my presence."I don't know. Seriously!" She almost yelled. Wow! This freaks me out a little. I stood up."Okay, come out. Let's check it out." I dragged her up. I exited the cafeteria with her and Steve trailed behind.I dragged her to the library. I pointed at a book."Command that." I said. "Melanie, I can't. I don't think I have any special powers. My wish just came true." She tried to persuade me but I wasn't having any of those."Command it to
Melanie's POV"Good morning" I said as I sat down at the dining table. "How are you doing now? I hope the fever is down." Mom asked as she touched my forehead. I forced a smile. "I'm fine, Mom.""Okay, hurry up with your meal. I have an appointment at the hospital." Steve's dad said."Alright, dad." Steve answered. Everyone went silent and sounds of the cutleries could only be heard. I glanced at my wristwatch. It's just five minutes to seven. We won't be late. I picked up the glass cup and drank water from it."Okay, Melanie dear, you ...wait, what's that?" Steve's mom looked at me in shock."What's what?" I asked. "Your face? Why is it so red?" She asked. I glanced at Steve. This means Steve didn't mention anything to them about what led to me fainting. "It's nothing" I smiled."But...". "Mom, it's nothing." Steve interrupted."Okay
Janet's POVI'm pissed off right now. I mean how could Melanie just allow that girl to slap her numerous times? Even when Steve came in her defense, she stopped him from reacting and I know even when Melanie didn't stop him, he wouldn't be able to slap or do anything to Nancy. He does not like using his hands on girls. I think I've had enough of Nancy and her tantrums. I need to inform Dad about this."She's awake" Steve announced as I rushed to the room she was placed in."What made her faint?" I faced the nurse in charge of the school's sick bay."She has fever but I've given her some medications to subdue it. And why is her face so red?" The nurse asked in concern."She was slapped." I sighed."What the hell? You guys should report the person who did that. Just take a look at her face." She pointed to Melanie's face.It was pale making the red marks of Nancy's fingers
Melanie's POVIt's been a week now since that incident but thankfully with serious sessions, I've been able to get my voice back. The doctor told me it came back quickly because the case isn't that serious. I missed school as well but thanks to my two best friends, I could cover up for the lost time. Janet helped with the notes while Steve helped with the tutoring.Within two days, I got back on track. Thinking about family, Steve's family has been accommodating. We still haven't left their house. Though I'm starting to feel we're overstaying but who was I kidding? We've just used a week and some days and there are times we stayed there for months so I don't think they would have issues with us staying for more than a week.Mom...well I haven't noticed anything unusual about mom. Even the morning after I had that dream, I looked at her carefully and found nothing unusual. I didn't even remember to ask her anything.
