LOGINMagic was the only thing that mattered in my world. Whoever had no magical talent was worthless. The earth was ruled by the most powerful magicians and no one came up against them. They were monsters in my eyes who treated normal people like vermin. The magicians all got what they wanted and normal people had to work for them. The normal people lived in poor conditions and the magicians looked down on them from their palaces. I was one of those normal people and my life was broken from the ground up. -------- This is exactly what happens to the street kid Kari. She is pushed into a world that she has despised until now and must quickly find out that a great power lives in her, which she prefers to bring quickly under control. She grits her teeth to defy everyone and to prove that even as a simple street kid you can be one of the big ones, until the moment when the simple exercises turn into a struggle for life and death.
View MoreI didn't know what all this Lord Savarik said was true, but it was true. Josh had said it too, that I should calm down. That realization made a shiver run down my spine. So that was the strange feeling.“I'll make you a suggestion. I blocked your magic, that's why you passed out, but it won't last long. If you get so upset again, it will happen the same as last time. I'll show you how to control your magic so at least you won't blow up the whole city, ”said Lord Savarik."And where is the heel?" I asked."There is no. When you have learned to control your strength you can do what you want. Either you stay here as my student or you go home, ”said the magician. That amazed me quite a bit. "Aren't you afraid that I will go to the rebels and help them?" I asked."You are welcome to do it, it just won't work. I said I'll show you how to control magic, but not how to use it. You won't be able to use magic when you go back, even if I thi
Josh was slowly waking up. He groaned briefly in pain and then reached for the pounding head. Then he saw Kari. She stood on the other wall of the house and in front of her was this magician. He didn't understand why Kari didn't move an inch, she just looked at the magician with wide eyes. Then the magician raised his right hand and pressed it into Kari's stomach. Josh wanted to get up and help Kari, but he was too weak. Kari collapsed and the magician caught her. Then he pushed Kari's right sleeve up and looked at her arm."Amazing. I wonder how she got rid of that, ”said the magician. Then he whistled once and after a minute two soldiers came running around the corner."Come on, take the girl and follow me," said the magician. The two soldiers took the unconscious girl and followed the magician. Josh watched helplessly as his girlfriend was taken away. The magician didn't even notice that the boy was awake and so he walked quickly down the streets. He ha
Josh stood petrified and looked at the hole where the trapdoor had been a minute ago. He knew what that meant and he didn't like it at all. After a minute he put a large board over the opening and then ran back. He knew that he wouldn't find Kari now. She knew the streets and alleys better than he did and, above all, it was too dark. He wanted to run home and tell his father what had happened, but stopped halfway. The door to the great hall was open and he could hear the voice of his father and the other leaders. He went closer and heard Kari's name a few times. Then it dawned on him what was going on here. Immediately he opened the door to the great hall and went inside. The leaders immediately fell silent and glared at Josh."Get out of here," said Takuto angrily."What were you just talking about?" He asked."Josh, there really is no time for that, you go back to Kari and take care of her," said his father."You were talking about Kari," said Josh.
I spent the whole day and the next with Josh, on the orders of the rebel leaders. He stayed with me the whole time, trying to keep me busy. I wasn't used to being tied to one place, especially when it was underground. I was used to being outdoors and spending the whole day in the fresh air. Here I got really claustrophobic and with every hour I was allowed to spend down here I became a bit more aggressive. In the evening of the second day it was too much."Damn Josh, I want to get out of here," I said angrily.“Kari, you can't leave here. You know the magicians are looking for you, ”said Josh."I do not care. If I stay down here for five more minutes, I'll go nuts, ”I said angrily. Exactly at that moment the door opened and Josh's father came in."You can be heard in the whole corridor Kari," he said with a smile."Bad luck," I said petulantly."I can understand you Kari, you are not used to being locked up," he said.
