Chapter 3: New Discovery

‘Very well, it is going to be easy probably, since these Slimes are very slow.’ Closing the mission page, Nero started to walk.

On her way, she took a lot of stones and put in her inventory. Despite being curious about the energy “Mana,” she wasn’t able to use it. Therefore, decided to stop thinking about it for a while.

Soon she found a Pink Slime level 1.

Armed with sharp stones, she threw it into the Pink Slime.

“Whoosh!”

After throwing seven stones and hit four, she succeeds defeated the Pink Slime. Nero walked near the Pink Slime to loot it.

When she was taking the core, a new screen opened.

“Yes.”

Nero took a deep breath and kept walking look for new monsters.

Nero mused while she saw the new holographic page that appears: ‘It’s getting easy to kill these monsters.’

She advanced swiftly; kept in her inventory stones that she saw on her way. Because of that, she got used to throwing stones at these Slimes and kill them easily.

“I only have one hour left,” Nero whispered while walking. Despite the start of getting hangry, she can stay firm, since her strength increased because of attributes increase.

‘I was nervous at first, but wasn’t hard hunting these Slimes.’ Nero thought when she was walking around the forest, looking for more monsters.

A little anxious pass over her pretty and cute face. She couldn’t wait to increases her level and then put some clothes on. Nero was feeling some cold winds on parts that make her embarrassed. She would be hiding at the treetop to avoid the embarrassment if was anyone around.

“This seems to be difficult...’ Nero bit her lower lips while pondered if she should or not try to kill this Green Slime.

‘Mana... I can feel this if I could use it when throwing the stones...’

It was something that she was thinking, but how she could kill without needing it, she didn’t lose her time trying. However, now it was different. If she wanted to increase the chances to kill the Green Slime, she would need more than throw stones on her opinion.

If necessary, she could run. So, think this way, Nero decided to confront the Green Slime. If wouldn’t work, she still had almost an hour to find other Slime.

Getting a deep breath, she took two stones from her inventory and left it opened to made easy pick up more stones.

Closing her eyes, she tried to lead the energy from her body to her left hand. She didn’t know if it was this way that used mana but never hurts to try.

“Clack!”

“Ah?”

Nero opened her eyes and saw a semi-transparent aura in her left hand and noticed that the stone became in fragments.

“Did I use too much mana?” Nero didn’t get discouraged opposite happened, she got more excited when saw that she could use mana, or seems something like it: ‘I just need to get my control better...’

Pick other stone from her inventory, Nero focused and directed her mana to er left hand but in a smaller amount.

“Pracc!”

This time didn’t become in fragments but broke into two parts.

“It was too much yet...”

Leaving the two pieces to fall on the ground, she caught another stone from her inventory.

One thing that she realized this day was that the Slimes rarely start an attack, like this moment when she was next to the Green Slime, and it didn’t attack yet. It was a good thing since she was trying a new thing.

When achieving the fifth attempt, she achieved results. Her hand held the stone earned a transparent blue aura the same occurred with the stone on a smaller scale.

“Whoosh!”

“Pow!”

When Nero threw the stone, she could see the line left behind, but she didn’t hit the target.

The Green Slime felt threatened and jumped lightly toward Nero. Without giving up, Nero picked another stone in her right hand and replicated her actions and threw the stone one more time.

“Whoosh!”

“Pow!”

‘Mm? Where does this information come? Nero was surprised to see that.

It was unexpected but gratifying to knew that now she had a skill.

On her front, opened a grid with other ten grids. 1 – [<Queen’s throw>] – 2 – [...]

Only the first grid had something written. Nero clicked on the first slot and a new message arrived.

Beyond Green Slime the trees and large rocks were the targets. Nero didn’t lose any time thinking and clicked in Green Slime.

“Ahh!”

Nero felt something strange and saw herself sliding her right foot to the front and, lean her body a little to the back, with her left hand and after her mana went into her left hand and the stone passing around them.

“Whoosh!”

“Pow!”

“Wow!”

Nero was amazed by this. By the way, it was the first time that a critical message appeared. She didn’t know anything about this could be possible.
