12.Fighting Monsters

2020-08-21 03:53:57Leo took the final step at the boundary of the map and entered the forest, it was a feeling of crossing a spatial portal. It seemed that each map was connected and was surrounded by barriers. Silicon Forest was home to insects like spiders, bees and some small animals like boars, foxes, and snakes.
Since Leo was at the edge of the forest he didn't encounter any ambush as soon as he entered. Many big trees were visible all around and he could see quite some monsters roaming either solo or in groups a little farther away.
Seeing that no one came behind him, Leo walked closer to the solo [Fang Boar Lvl.2] that was rummaging in the grass. When he was about 10 meters from the boar he equipped his [Sword of Power Lvl.5]. Although it was a level 5 piece of equipment, it could be used because of the Ignore Levels +5. So he was able to use the sword as a level 1 player.
Leo walked a little closer and when he was about 7 meters he cast [Inspect] on the boar to see its status.

While Leo was looking at its status the boar had moved a little and went into the 5-meter mark. It then saw Leo and snorted as it charged at him. Leo was a little surprised at its aggressiveness and knew it was because of his Lower Level that made the Boar lock its Aggro onto him.
Although it looked like Leo failed to react to the charge, He gently SideStepped and dodged the charge of the boar. The boar crashed into a tree, and it looked like it got hurt from the crash a little and lost about 10 Hp. This time it just came at a normal speed to attack Leo and it seemed to have a cooldown for its skill. Leo then struck at the boar for the first time which resulted in about -35 damage. Although the boar did try its best and even used its skill two more times, it was hacked and slashed and eventually killed by Leo's power strike which dealt a massive damage -70. The fight looked like the boar was running around and slamming into trees and the player was just dancing and slashing at the boar till it fell and this only happened in a minute.
After killing the boar Leo felt like something Mystical entered his body, and it seems it must be the way the experience gain is shown. Leo had 10% of his Exp Bar full just for solo Killing a [Fang Boar Lvl.2]. And he could easily Level up if he killed 9 more boars. But it was not thrilling to Leo, he was seeking for more fights which could stimulate his potential and quench his cravings for battle. And Also the boar only dropped some 8 Copper Coins a Boar Hide and 1 Fang, which was not a decent loot at all.
Leo then started moving forward towards the depths of the forest and on the way he had killed about 4 more boars and gotten 27 more copper coins and 3 Hides and 5 Fangs. He also picked up the herbs after using [Identify Herb] And [Gather Herb] on them as he got 3 Red Tulip, 4 Longtails, 5 Tamlu Flower, 6 Brittle Root, and 3 Hymn Flower and had reached Level 2. Leo used the free attribute point he got into agility to increase his speed of movement and attack speed.
Right now Leo was halfway into the forest and was almost closer to the core of it. And he could see 2 forks in the road. One way leads to a Spider Infested area which he could see due to a Large Number of Webs On the trees and the other way was the home of bees and lots of herbs. Since Leo had a quest for gathering herbs and his bag space was almost full he went towards the bee side.
Just a little further in Leo encountered a lone Bee as big as 2 fists combined which he inspected to see its status.

Leo then approached it slowly and then jumped up and slashed his sword gaining the first strike bonus dealing -55 Damage. The startled bee then quickly shot a stinger at still mid-air Leo and it hit him in the back dealing -75 damage as Backstab attack.
Normal Damages are shown as red with being the base damages and double damages are shown as blue dealing twice the damage and Vital point + Backstab strikes deal 50 to 75% damage based on location and critical strikes do 200% or more depending upon the skill.
Leo only had 275 Hp left and it looked like the bee was regrowing its stinger, but it showed no signs of attacking as it flew before him maintaining a distance. Upon closer inspection, it seemed to be in a weakened status for using its stinger. Leo knew this was his chance to strike even though the pain in his back was hurting a lot. If not for his willpower and experience of more torturous pain in his other lives he would have screamed out loud like most people due to his 75% Pain Tolerance.
Leo then dashed forward and started attacking the bee in a rhythmic manner which gave it no chance to fly away. When the bee finally regrew its stinger shot at Leo, he slightly twisted his body to dodge the attack and unleashed power strike which luckily triggers a critical hit dealing about 120 Damage and killed the bee.
After killing the bee Leo got about 15% exp filled up gaining a total of 65%. Also, the Bee dropped some [Honey - Eat to Restore 10 Hp for 5 seconds. Cooldown: 30 Seconds ] and about 10 copper coins. Just when Leo was going to further he remembered he saw a small glint to his left when he jumped up to slash the bee for his first strike. So he changed his direction and walked past the bushes.

Now he was fighting the unknown. Leo still readied his battle stance as he held the hilt of his sword.

Leo made his way towards Ethan and Erza with his name being slightly red he didn't have any other choice. Currently, Ethan is Level 7, and Leo and Erza are Level 8. With his siblings catching up to his level Leo felt joy and was happy for them.Leo swore to protect them in this life because 2 years back when he was 13 he had severe infection and fever for 10 straight days in the winter vacation. Even though he was admitted and cured of the disease, he could still remember his brother and sister trying everything they can to ensure his survival.Ethan 8 right then and he had to rush out of the house and find Jordan by his house. ScreamingBlade looked at Leo and thought to himself, even though the man before him killed his subordinates he might not kill him as he had recognized him. Maybe that's why he had sheathed his swords. Although he swore to get revenge for this humiliation, he knew now was not the right time since the enemy was overwhelmingly strong.ScreamingBlade soon calmed down and looked straight at Leo and smirked as he said, " Looks like you have finally recognized our symbol. Leo calmed down his breathing and closed his eyes as he saw the group approaching his location with any care as they were laughing and mocking how they were gonna kill a legacy owner. Just when the clueless group was within his reach Leo unsheathed both his swords at the ready.As two players walked past him and he was surrounded by the 5 unsuspecting players, Leo opened his eyes that now had a murderous glint in them. Swinging both his swords at the ones to his side dealt -700 Damage to both. And when the sword slash ended a Light Sword Slash went in for the kill as it was triggered due to Passive Skill of Lightbringer and killed the one to his right as the one in the left died to the first slash itself.The two in front were confused why 2 of their teammate's names suddenly grayed out.
