6.Current Status

Leo walked back to his room and sat back on his bed. He started thinking about his current asset and financial situation. Right now all his family had a good house in a silver class city in the east part of the Norton Quarter. The world hierarchy is divided into different levels of societal status. The Highest rank being Diamond to Gold to Silver to Bronze. Only if you have the status of a higher level citizen can u go and live in better cities with better access to resources.

Norton Quarter was a part of the Northern Continent which was divided into 4 Quarters. Each Quarter had 3 Gold Cities and 10 Silver Cities and Multiple Bronze Cities and a Sole Diamond Class city as its Center. The four-diamond class cities of the Northern Continent fight for resources allocated to each of them in the VR War.

Normally Leo and his family should have been in a bronze city with his bronze-status. But his father was a champion of the Norton Quarter of his Guild which reigned over the Northern Continent. After the death of his parents, his status slowly got demoted to the current silver status. Normally this shouldn't have happened over just a decade as it takes 3 decades of no Merits in the VR War to Drop in Single Status. His father was a Diamond Class Citizen of the United Federation. But due to some mysterious occurring both his parents died and he was quickly pushed to a Silver Status.

Leo thought about that and knew something was about this whole incident was messed up, which his experience of 8 lives made him realize. As far as he could remember the so-called relatives and friends who he met when he was little didn't help him or his family after their father died and also they pushed him away to this Silver City which was the poorest among all the other Silver cities.

Although Ashen City was the poorest silver city in terms of resources the mayor of the city was jordans father Silvan Asta was a good friend of Leo's father. He was the one person who helped Leo and his family stabilize and stay in the ashen city. He also took care of their education and other expenses.

Leo then pushed aside those stuff from his mind for now and started looking through his memory. It took him an hour to push through all of the 8 lives and learn back everything he knew so far. Right now he was sweating a lot due to high concentration but there was a bright smile on his face as if he was the biggest winner in life.

The reason for that is that he found traces of spiritual energy in the air. Even though it was very weak he could still cultivate it and raise his standards. Also, the best thing was that his body good not that perfect and not that bad. He had his methods from the cultivation world that could purify his body but that had to wait to cause his strength was so low.

Leo started absorbing the spiritual energy slowly with his cultivation method [Heavenly Six Paths]. It's a technique that absorbs all the spiritual elements to cultivate and tempers the body. Leo only stopped cultivating when it was almost time for dinner when his brother came and knocked on his door. Leo got out of his room started cooking dinner for them.

The 3 of them soon had a good dinner of chicken stew and rice made by Leo. Leo was a good cook and he loved cooking for his siblings instead of letting the Cook-Bot do it. He heard stories of their days in school and how much fun Erza as the popular kid in school. Erza was a super cutie and outgoing type of girl. While Ethan was pretty much a muscular kinda boy for his age group. He had little but close friends and most of the bullies in school were afraid of Ethan and his short temper.

After letting the bot do the cleaning they each went back to their rooms to sleep. Leo went back to his room and got into the capsule which every home had to connect to the SkyNet. Each person in the Federation was given a capsule when they got to the age of 10 and they can start using it to participate in Vr wars or access the Virtual Society.

During these years although Leo had the Capsule he only used it to play the Previous War to earn some income. He didn't even create a Virtual Body for the Society and haven't even logged in once. There wasn't a need to create a virtual body unless you want to meet others in the VR society or use the various resources and benefits of it. So as soon as Leo logged in to Skynet he was given two options, one was to transfer his old Vr War Account into Credits and the other was to create a Virtual Body.

Since the old game was over the account in that game can only be converted into credits or be used as a showpiece. Only the famous and rich players keep it for showpiece or as their lifeworks also some rich people collect the various famous accounts as collectible via the final auction made by the game company with the consent of the players who want to auction their accounts.

Leo chose the option of converting his account into credits since he wasn't a famous player to be auctioned and his account was only worth some credits. The system finished the transaction and showed him his balance which dropped his mood. He stared blankly at his account balance of 35000 Credits. His game account was only worth 20k C and together with his savings of 15k C  he only had a net saving of 35k C which was far from the needed amount of 100k C for Ethan's high school education.

After a few mins, Leo finally burned with the willpower and got out of the gloominess of the situation. He soon got optimistic since he had about 2 months to ready up the credits to pay for Ethan's Education Fee. School Starts on the  5 of August and he had to pay the Credits before the 1st of August.
