Guanting open his mouth to ask but closed it right away, he knows his grandfather knew the name of the woman but he doesn't have the intention to talk what happened to the banquet. He look outside of the carriage, there are only few people walking on the streets most are guards patrolling the area.
"Guanting just focus on your wife, you choose her thus you better stick to your decision." Patriach Long suddenly spoke without looking at his grandson. Guanting suddenly look at his grandfather who is now looking at him with seriously.
"Why...? You always supported me..." He realized the change of attitude of his grandfather to him, the old man who always dote on him now looks at him like how the well known Left Prime Minister looks at the princes when he tutors them, strict and unforgiving.
"The path you choose is one without way of turning back..." he wants his grandfather to explain what he just said but the old man closed his eyes blocking all chances for Guanting's questions.
"Ying'er are you alright?" Xi Hui worriedly asked as she removed Xianyao's coat over her daughter's head and placed few hair strands behind her daughter's ears.
"Don't worry mother I am alright..." Xiuying nonchalantly answered, seeing her mother's worried face her heart warmed up and hug Xi Hui.
As the mother and daughter preparing to go home and giving last instructions to the employees along giving them few taels as a bonus, Xianyao give the details to Qi Chen and Qi Ming of what happened outside. Hearing about Guanting's sudden appearance both men's faces turned ugly. Although they know that Xiuying isn't interested anymore to the former fiance, they know how persistant Guanting can be when he wants something even sorting to underhanded methods.
All of them heard from Manager Ba that Guanting have seen Xiuying's face but the young master isn't aware that she is his former fiance. The former Xiuying only met Guanting once when she was three years old while the latter was five years old although that time the two of them are close, the memories of a child will always be replaced by most recent ones. Also due to Qi Fan and Qi Chang's schemes Guanting never met Xiuying again.
"Jun Wang thank you for protecting my daughter..." Qi Chen give his thanks to the war lord although Xianyao is seven years older than Xiuying, he have long approved of him as future husband of his beloved daughter.
Qi Ming just silently listens to the two, he is feeling uncomfortable about Xiuying's actions towards Guanting, the day she was 'accidentally' seen by that scum, her actions making the man more curious and desperate to see and know her name. He doesn't know Xiuying's exact plans which makes him more restless, he glanced at his best friend he knows how Xianyao yield to Xiuying wishes but he needs to remind him how dangerous it can be.
"Master Qi there's no need to thank this prince as I did as well for myself..." Xianyao answer shows his possessiveness over Xiuying earning chuckles from Qi Chen.
"Alright I won't then, let's go home now." Hearing that Qi Ming nodded at his father. After the family of four arrived at their residence, the carriage of Xianyao who was following them turn back to return to Jun Wangfu.
After helping Xiuying take a bath and prepared to sleep, Xue heard light knocks at Xiuying's courtyard door. Seeing it was Qi Ming, she went inside her young miss' bedroom to let her know.
Xiuying wraps herself with a light blue outerware before going to her courtyard's receiving area. "Ming gege it is already late why are still not resting?" Xiuying looks at his brother who is looking at her seriously, there's no trace of the playful big brother of hers.
"I just want to say that before you execute your revenge against Qi Fan and Long Guanting, let me know ahead of time. Whatever you are planning I'll support you but if compromises your..." Qi Ming voice was full of doting and protectiveness for his sister.
"You don't have to worry Ming gege I'll let you know and I won't let myself get hurt..." Xiuying knows her brother's worries. Based on the things she have heard from the servants when she was in coma, she knows how helpless her family was while waiting for her to wake up.
Hearing Xiuying's answer Qi Ming finally smiled and ruffles her hair. "You better be...go sleep now. Gege will return to his courtyard." Xiuying nodded and sent off Qi Ming before going back to inside her bedroom to rest.
