LOGINCoker had been telling her about a story of a certain man, who had become a billionaire at his twenties. Bisola looked at him puzzled, he spoke of the man's opulence and how the people at the event center marvelled at his company's success over the last five years. He wished at once to be regarded as a man of wealth. What even intrigued Bisola was how he effortlessly expressed his desire to become, a renowned entrepreneur. Coker smiled as he looked at her and held her hands. He pulled her close to himself and felt her feminine attraction. He knew he was capable of taking up the responsibility of being a loving man to her but he wasn't sure he was ready for the responsibility of being committed to her, neither did he have the thought of taking care of her now. They looked at each other for a moment and then he asked that they took a walk, she got up from his laps and watched him as he put on his clothes. They walked out of the room and went through the front door and together they were now walking on the street. It was still noon his parents were not yet back, Coker was a handsome young man who was full of youth and dreams. He had a clear vision of what he wanted and desired from his future.
But now it suddenly struck him as he felt dissatisfied with himself. He had graduated from the university two years ago, and it became crystal clear that he was all alone and the desire to do something about getting a job was on his mind. His father had felt disappointed at him, for being idle after the education that was given to him. He had never wanted to live on a salaried job for the rest of his life as he yearned to plunge into business after school. But now his dream of doing that looked gloomy but he certainly knew that he was going to get through this. All he just needed was patience.
"A little more patience," he whispered to himself as he walked.
"Coker," Bisola drew him away from his thoughts.
"You are so deep in thoughts" Coker looked at her charming face and smiled.
"Am okay" he replied.
"You can share what is bothering you with me." Bisola moved closer to him.
"I know you feel bothered about the future but everything will be fine." Bisola had only known him for sometime now but believed she knew a lot about him and her feelings for him had grown so much. He smiled as he caressed her cheek softly with his hands, she visualized him as one who had a good sense of humor and was ambitious to fulfill his dreams.
"I am fine he said looking into her eyes." His face looked gloomy and his heart skipped, he was afraid they may be apart. All that Coker knew was his desire and dream to become a renowned and influential entrepreneur and although he liked Bisola and felt selfish to neglect her, he couldn't bring himself to the reality of taking care of her now, he shook his head and came to the resolution of enjoying the moment why it lasted. They admired each other as they walked, Bisola talked about literary writers and how she dreamed of becoming one. They laughed and teased each other heartily, her heart felt gladdened as she felt a time will come when their expectations will come to pass. At the moment what they had to do was just to wait and see what the future held for them.
Months passed away and Bisola felt happy to be with the Adeleke's they gave her the essential things she needed. Most especially they loved and cared for her as she served them well, all looked well for her and the lonely days she felt seemed to be a thing of the past.
The beginning of the day looked bright and as usual she woke up to do her morning chores when she suddenly began to feel uneasy. She stopped doing her chores and went to take a rest which resulted to her sleeping for a long time. unknown to her Mrs Adeleke had watched her go into her room. She woke up giving a yawn and feeling tired.
Later that afternoon, Mrs Adeleke asked her if she felt well.
"I am okay, ma" Bisola replied.
"Okay then." In spite of Mrs Adeleke's Suspicion of her not feeling fine, she reserved her opinion and left without further persuasion on her.
"I will be going to the salon." Mrs Adeleke said instructing her to make dinner for the family.
"Okay ma, I will certainly do that." She replied and got up from the bed. Mrs Adeleke departed and she rushed off quickly to go and do the chores as her bed was left undressed. The following weeks Bisola continued with the incessant sickness. Mrs Adeleke suddenly knew something was wrong, and concluded on going with her to the hospital. She willingly agreed and the result of the test carried out by the doctor showed that she was pregnant.
"How could you do this to us?"
"Am deeply sorry ma." She said pleading on her kneels.
"And who is responsible for the pregnancy." She questioned.
Bisola bit her lips tightly and muttered something to herself with tears in her eyelids. She dare not reveal who after all they have done for her, she felt ungrateful to repay them this way. Turning away, her eyes met Coker as he suspected that the pregnancy was for him. After some few minutes of questioning who the father of the child was, Mrs Adeleke gave up. Later on Bisola told him that he was the father of the child, he rebuked her and refused to claim the Baby. He looked at her in disgust and warned her against telling anyone the truth. Bisola's world came crumbling down and she fled to her friend's house who accommodated her till she gave birth.

It's a simple question, that requires a simple answer." the hefty guy with a thick beard and fierce looking face spoke. The bartender looked at the man with a bold face and was mute for sometime before he spoke."Am sorry I will endeavour that everything goes smoothly next time.""The boss has not been happy about the recent incident that happened.""Do well, to make sure that this goes well." The man replied and walked out of the bar as some group of men followed behind. Dele walked in looking smartly dressed, with a blue shirt and a black pair of trouser. He greeted the bartender who instructed him to go behind the bar and he immediately did so as the bartender walked through a path that led to a room he couldn't see clearly. He came out after some minutes later and ordered him to serve a drink, to a man who sat at a corner inside the bar.He took the bottle of beer served in a tray and walked past some people. For sometime now, she felt safe and had obediently worked for them but things had turned around so soon as she became a part of them, but Mrs Coker had let her stay with them despite the circumstances surrounding their lives. Having lost her job, she decided to go sell some wares at the street market down the road but already she had made some contacts with people to notify her when a vacancy for a job is on. She also dropped some application letters in some of the companies that had vacancy. The day was a sunny one with the sun emitting it's scorching rays to the earth, they both stood as they called in a low tone for people to purchase their wares. A man dressed in a red shirt came to purchase what she sold. From a distance, Edna saw little children playing with a carton made toy as they sang and giggle at each other, suddenly one of the children in the midst of them began to cry because he had not made any toy from his carton. The other children left him to his predicament
"Are you telling me, he has to be transferred to another hospital?" No amount of sympathy could erase the pain Mrs Coker felt at the moment. At the middle of the night she stayed up late to make sure her husband is properly attended to by the doctor, as she was trying to get herself to think properly. She turned to look at the nurses in the ward. After sometime she looked at the doctor and asked him what his health condition was at the moment."His chest area seems to be badly injured, and there will be a need to getting a surgical operation although the probability of his survival is low.""But don't worry ma, we would do our possible best to keep him alive, at the moment I have to make sure he is transferred to a better hospital were he can get a proper medical care."Mrs Coker began to feel bewildered as she questioned the unknown. All that filled her head were thoughts of how long she was to persevere. If eventually
The seasons for the rains had come and it seemed to Edna like the gate of heavens were open as rain fell down heavily. She heard a sound but could not detect immediately if it was her mind playing games with her or a reality. She recalled that she had seen a strange man at the kitchen during the weekend but the idea of telling Mrs Coker wasn't a pleasant one as she felt it was inappropriate considering the emotional turmoil she was experiencing. Cold shivers ran through her body as the thought of strange figures moving around the house scared her. A screeching sound came from the main entrance of the house which got her startled as it increased her curiosity."What if they were dangerous people at the door." She thought. It would be of great relief if someone could walk to the sitting room and observe were the sounds were coming from, but every member of the household seemed to be asleep except for her which even increased the tension she felt
