Prologue

Sarah

This couldn't be happening. I needed someone to tell me that I was dreaming. He, who was standing right in front of me wasn't the famous Xavier Romanov, my once childhood friend, and lover. I gulped the lump around my throat. He has changed so much. His clean-shaven look has been replaced by a light stubble on the chin. He is leaner, his cheekbones prominent and he looks every inch of the star that he is.

"Nice to finally meet you Ms.Olsen"  he greeted with a smile. The smile that has melted the hearts of many, the smile that makes several Teen girls fall in love with him but I knew well enough, this was not his real smile. Even though he was smiling, his eyes conveyed a different story. It held anger, reproach, and hurt. "I-its nice to meet you too Mr. Romanov. Please call me Sarah" I applauded myself for how steady my voice sounded even though I was trembling inside,

"Of course, Sarah. I hope we can work well together" He replied, his smile never leaving his lips. I nodded jerkily. I knew then that I wouldn't be able to get away from him this time.
