View MoreTODAY'S MONDAY, first day of school. Mr. Robert had sent all my new clothes earlier this morning, via two strange fellows. They came with a signed note, so I knew it was Mr. Robert who had sent them.I pressed my new school uniform very neatly and I polished my shoes so that they shined like the sun. I took a hot bath, and frantically dried my body.I wasn't just exited about school, but because I was going to meet jo with Ava, a white girl. This was my first encounter with a white girl, and to crown it all, she asked for this.I first met Ava back in the party, where we spoke only briefly.I still remembered how she looked enchanting in her red dinner gown and high heel shoes. The kiss she planted on my cheek, was indelible a
AFTER THE party last night was over. I looked forward to Monday. Patiently waiting and hoping for tomorrow, so I would talk be with Ava and we could talk.Ava was young and smart, from the brief time we had spent talking, I knew she was a smart person.I laid quietly in my bed and considered several factors. If I was going to both succeed in academia and enjoy the pleasures that women brought, I had to be smart and cautious about my actions.I only got here and I wouldn't want to become the centre of attention so soon. But I never fancied being anonymous in the background.I wanted to shine and be known and all the glory that came with popularity, were what I craved.Nonetheless, I had t

It's too filthy, what you gonna wear?" I was also confused
ASIDE EDUCATION, Nightingales High took it's students very seriously in matters bothering on security and welfare. It took even more seriously, the students on scholarship _ when it came to welfare, which had a lot to do with health, happiness accommodation and feeding. The boarding students in Nightingales High shared rooms in two's. Each student had a roommate. But those on scholarship stayed alone in a room, except they choose to share their rooms.James and Ernest decided to share a room. They based their decision on the grounds of boredom and interpersonal aid.I on the other hand, I would have wholeheartedly welcomed Isabel, the only girl in our midst to share a room with, but that was against the school's policy. A boy couldn't share a room with a girl.So technically, I was to have a room all to my self and still weild the power to invite whoever I wanted to invite, o
