*Abeera's POV*

What the heck is  Nafayh doing here?

Excitement rushed through my veins, and I sucked in a sharp breath. I love how we communicate through expressions. Right now he's really pissed, his lips are pressed tightly and beads of sweat are forming on his forehead.

And then what Hassan did was the last thing I expected from him. Grinning, he slid his arm around my tiny waist, and pulled me closer. Bile instantly rose up in my throat. I struggled to get out of his grip, cringing, but he wasn’t budging.

“Hassan, let go of me,” I snapped, putting every ounce of my strength into breaking free from his hold. “Hassan!” I growled, and this time he let me go.

Tears threatened to spill, but I maintained calm.

"There. I touched her, what you gonna do now, huh?" Hassan mocks.

Nafayh closes his eyes tightly. Angrily, he inhales a lung full of air, and blew out noisily. His hands curling into balls at his side.

"You have half a second to apologize for this sick behavior. How dare you even lay a finger on her?

Apologize, now, or I'll cut off your finger. Your choice now," Naf gritts.

Wow! Two really handsome boys are fighting over me?

Super.

Epic.

"Nope. Not gonna happen. Not unless she asks me to."Hassan again gives me his puppy dog face, and mouths 'please don’t’.

He think I was not going to be mad because he touched me, knowing I didn’t like it?

"Beera, he’s not who you think he is. Stay away from him," Max's voice immediately becomes low, and soft. His eyes are pleading me, begging me to just move away from Hassan, and although I want to listen to him. . .

My brains telling me to stop.

"No," I deny, my voice hoarse.

I can’t just ignore the fact that Nafayh had done something horrible in his past. He might be right that Hassan is not good, but I don’t think Nafayh himself stands at a position to prove these things.

"Baby girl, you have no idea what kind of a sick prick he is. Come here." He takes a step forward and I'm seconds away from changing my decision.

But I shouldn't, right? I mean he dumped me. He didn't contact or try to get to me. I don't care whatever problems he's having. He could've just left a text. But he didn't, I remind myself again.

"Ohh boy! Didn't you hear what the girl just said?" Hassan whines. He runs a hand through his silky soft hair and sighs deeply. "I'll make sure she gets home safe, don't worry pretty boy. Trust me."

Nafayh laughs sarcastically. "Trust you? Trust you? Not gonna happen buddy," he barks at Hassan, making me flinch.

Oo.. Aggressive much?

"Girlie, what do you say? Him or me?" Hassan looks into my light brown eyes, and questions.

My stupid side takes over.

Looking up at him, I whisper, "Just drop me home, okay?"

Maybe what I'm doing is right. I'm falling in love with a man who had destroyed a 15 year old. Who is the reason for her to be depressed. Who took away her happiness from her, and most of all, he is the one hurt her badly, and who had beaten her wildly.

What if he does the same to me?

No, he won't.

He regrets what he did.

"Beera, don't trust him. Please?" Nafayh pleads but I'm not thinking straight. My mind is empty empty ..... and I just can't think properly.

"Goodbye, Nafayh."
