Bad News

Arden is holding a court, it means that people can come and talk about their problem about something that involves the law.

There are not many people coming in since all the people are living in harmony before Arden even came here.

And then, a person came in, Arden assumes that he is a messenger and then the messenger gave him a mail from sir Aswick. He opened the mail and read it.

"To Arden, the barbarians you caught is actually one of the clan leader and he confessed about everything. There maybe an invasion soon, we must prepare for it" seeing this, Arden prepare the troops for the invasion that not sure will come in the future.

He increased the training of his troop and train himself with Lucaro.

Even tho he still can't defeat Lucaro at training, at least he got some experience.

He also prepared the troops to survive in the wild with training such as hunting and making shelter.

There is like 70 horse that is one-year-old right now since there are many people that do horse breeding when the settlement is still a village.

With that many horses, 1/4 of the troops can be trained to ride the horses and became a cavalry unit.

So he told Lian to make 70 or so basic horse armour, to which he said.

"You gotta be joking, right?" "no, but I'll help, smithing is quite fun actually"

"Damn it, I'll teach you how to do it and you'll do a quarter of it"

One day Arden came down from his office to the training yard to chose 70 people that will be trained to ride the horse.

These people must be a hardworking one to ride the horses, since they, will still do the original training.

So he will chose 70 people 3 days later to see which one is hardworking and which one is not many people in various different army will complaint if they is chosen but not with arden's.

They took this as a kind of honor and trained hard, many of them just began doing extra training and more.

3 days later, all the horse armour is made with the hardwork of 2 people and it's the time to choose who will ride the horses.

All man is nervous and Arden is needed to making a hard decision now.

After all the person is chosen, Arden told the soldiers one more thing.

"This is not your last chance, even though you didn't get accepted to the cavalry unit, you still can get accepted to a smithing unit and your duty there is to forge better weapon for our army and make sure all equipment are in the good condition, but will still fight as a soldier. Raise your hand now if you want to join, there will only 60 people accepted now, the future conditions might be different."

once again, everyone raised their hand, only 60 people can be chosen after all, so Arden are forced to chose again after he chose the 60 people.

The soldiers are done for the day and can go to the barracks where they sleep.

The next, Arden personally came down and goes to the stable. He then got on top of his horse "cisco" and proceed to the training yard to train the newly built calvary unit.

He decided to teach them how to first, get on the horse and then how to lance.

He trained the calvary unit and decided to name them the "Acropolo", which is taken from the castle that is newly built which was given a name of "Acropolis".

Arden trained the Acropolos with a sincere heart, which is returned by the hard work of everybody.

By 2 hours, the Acropolos can already get on the horse well and some can already walk it.

They will do 2 hours cavalry training for everyday possible so the Acropolo still can train as a regular infantry.

Meanwhile, on the smithing unit, they can already understand the basic with the help of Lian.

By the second day, the Acropolo can walk the horse well and some can trot it already.

Only in 6 days, the Acropolos can ride the horse well and now starting to do the fighting simulation.

After a month of training, Arden got a mail from the king.

"The kingdom of Bisvirb has declared war on us, you are expected at the capital in 3 days." with that being said, Arden with all of his soldier prepares to go to the capital.

Even tho most of his soldier are from the people at the town, they are still goodly trained. They are better than militia but not better than a veteran.

Their discipline are very high, they will not be bothered by 2 days walking and determined to reach the capital as soon as possible.

Most of them are excited since they can visit the capital, they are mostly farmer previously so they can't go to the capital.

2 days later, they made it to the capital and Arden goes straight to king Astria, now at the age of 42, to report to him that he has come.

Arden also saw the 3 dukes and Ady in the side before the king talks.

"Knight Arden, my loyal knight, in this state of war, we will probably win this, so..."

A suddenly messenger came to inform something, the barbarians in the south has attacked sir Valencio of Asholia's territory, which also meant war.

And then the king continue to talk, before he opens his mouth. Another messenger came and inform that there is a rebellion at the north leaded by a noble called Ambrosious.

"Probably the same noble that I met in sir Rakham's city," Arden thought's, until now. Arden still doesn't know the city's name.

"Damn it, we are having a war at 3 fronts, this is clearly planned!" with a rising voice he talks.

"Now Arden, I'll make you a baronet now, but only in the title, since I can't give you any kind of land right now"

"I'll attach Ady of Hamsville's army, as well as some of the knight's army to yours, go and end that rebellion for me, prove you are a good commander and you are my loyal knight!!."

And then he turned to Ady

"Do you mind?"

"No, your majesty!!"

Once again, there is a war happening. Arden made sure he end this war for all his friends, his family, his country and his king!!!!
