Chapter 29

Chara’s POV

Seven Years Later

I walk into the room next to mine and Nix’s. Inside the walls are painted a pastel pink and under the window sits my daughter who is playing with her dolls. I had her six years ago and today is her birthday. I get her dressed into a dress that Noc bought for her and then I bring her into my room. Nix just came out of the bathroom and he is dressed in a pair of jeans and a black t-shirt. He smiles at us as we walk in. Liam handed Nix the title of Alpha King a month after the war and that is when I became his Luna. We finished the mate bond soon after and have been living happily since. Whenever someone tries to attack our pack, the instantly regret it when they realize who I am, and that Nix is now immortal. I am dressed in a blue sundress that flows down to my mid thighs. Lina, our daughter, Nix, and I make our way downstairs. The whole pack is out back to celebrate Lina’s birthday. There is plenty of food and there is a pool as well as a bouncy castle set up for the children. Lina runs up to Noc and gives him a big hug.

“Grandpa! I missed you!” she squeals.

Noc chuckles, “I missed you too Lina, Happy Birthday!”

“Thank you! I am so excited to play with everyone. See you later!” she smiles while heading over to play with the other kids.

“She is something else, isn’t she?” Noc says giving me a hug.

“Yes, she is,” I reply.

We mingle and talk with the pack members. We soon have a huge cake for Lina and then she opens he many presents. Nix and I gave her a necklace that I had made of my symbol on it and a wolf in the background. 

She loves the necklace and asks me to put it on her right away. I happily oblige and clasp it around her neck. We go for a walk, just the three of us when Lina screams. Both Nix and I look at her confused, but then we see and hear her bones break. She is shifting for the first time at a young age.

“Sweetie, everything will be okay. You are going to see you wolf now.”

She smiles but then it is taken over by pain. I watch my daughter go through this for ten, maybe fifteen minutes and all I can do is stand there. After what seems like an eternity, she has fully shifted into her beautiful wolf. She is the size of me in my wolf and her fur is pitch black. Her wolf looks exactly like mine, except she has her father’s forest green eyes. I can’t believe that her being just a pup, she looks so big. She looks bigger than most fully grown males. Lina jumps around in her wolf form, but soon stops and looks at nothing, just staring. At this point, Nix and I are both in our wolves.

Is she talking to her wolf? I ask Nix. We weren’t sure if she would get a wolf because I can shift with magic. 

I think so, she did physically shift, so she does have a werewolf in her.

She soon snaps out of her daze and speaks through our family mind-link. 

Mommy, Daddy! I have a wolf and her name is Melany!

That’s amazing sweetie, I say.

I am so proud of you sweetheart, Nix adds.

We run around for a while before making our way back to the pack house.
