Gaul reached the limousine with the Mistress. The defenses of the limo activated and inside Gaul took out the magazine cases and loaded his rifle with ammunition. In his mind was the appearance of Flatline blooded and ragged. That unflinching expression that showed no care about his injuries. He saw his wounds heal, but that wasn't something to be concern about when human enhancement has been available.

Placing his rifle on his lap, he turned to the Mistress. "Miss, it seems like we were wrong."

Mistress Ursula nodded. "I know. He's been keeping us alive. Haven was not wrong about him. I am just glad that he's not our enemy."

Mistress Ursula gave a blank stare. Tears poured from her eyes, dripping on her cheeks. She held her head as body-shaking sobs escaped out of her lips. She huddled inside the security box, holding her hair and muttering something under her breath. Gaul could not offer any words at all.

Cultists came rushing at the limousine. The operator of the limousine activated the fortress mode. Mist came out of the ground as the firefight shattered the area around the limousine. A state-of-the-art limousine meant for the star of Aured. Moments came by quickly as they shot down the cultists. The bodyguards stationed outside came, and the forces of Aured battled the Horde of the Mechanical Cult.

After some time, Gaul saw Flatline with Miss Angela. She rode in the limousine and sat beside Ursula, her arms around the Mistress.

"Ange!," she cried. "You're safe! I am so glad!"

"Haven doesn't disappoint," Angela looked to the figure bracing himself on the limousine. "They sent us an etherian killer!"

Ursula quieted as Flatline entered the limousine. He ordered the driver to escape and before long they were on the road dealing with enemies. Bullet casings dropped inside the limousine as the fight continues. While they were on the road an Etherian almost shattered the limousine, leaving Flatline to land a dropkick on the etherian. Then, with another showcase of strength and ability, he killed another etherian in one masterful stroke, shattering the vibrant blade whose durability finally caved in. Gaul shivered at the sight of the hilt of the vibrant blade. Flatline's fingers almost crushed the hilt.

Gaul wanted to ask what was going on, but then an airdrop came. For a moment, Gaul couldn't speak as a one-eyed figure appeared on from that container drop carrying a cutter-like vibrant sword that fitted the colors of the suit. It looked well-fitted and was a suit that Gaul didn't expect to see. An innovative suit equipped by a person who could cleave an etherian into two.

Gaul felt nothing but fear. The container that was used to drop the suit self-imploded, leaving no trace. Just in time, full-metal suits appeared out of the metal and concrete structures, blasting their munition at Flatline. Flatline moved, a bolt of electricity exploded on the sole, his figure brandishing the cutter-vibrant sword. With a thrum, the full-metal suits got cleaved in half. Gaul remained station on the trunk of the limousine as it started moving out of the pit. Flatline engaged the full-metal suits, displaying a despairing ferocity multiplied by the enhancement given by the suit.

Flatline was faster than even the limousine. He held the scabbard of the of the cutter sword on his left and held the right with his other hand. He stayed on guard above the limousine with his figure parrying and cutting up any bullets coming their way. Excess smoke comes out of the suit, making Gaul felt fear on this ghost who carried the mist with him. They could pass the complex concrete buildings, and yet the Mechanical cult never relented. They didn't hesitate to throw their lives away if it meant killing the Mistress. Gaul felt helpless, like a cornered animal only protected by a predator who showed no mercy to those who approach the limo.

Gaul felt like his fears were all a joke compared to the showcase of abilities. Flatline was already dangerous when he didn't have the suit, and now he was a monster that easily took down multiple full-metal suit wielders. Flatline ran across the streets of the Aured while cutting down obstacles and shattering blockades by turning their own weapons against them. As the fight continued Gaul saw that they were approaching an industrial complex. It was already clear they were being led to another trap.

Gaul looked up. He saw a carrier dropping a Talos Machina, destroying the complex pipeline that webbed the area. Gaul blanked as he wondered what can they do? But then he saw Flatline ran to the Talos Machina, avoiding the blade armament of the Machine, and running vertically on its blade. With a leap he thrusts the cutter-vibrant on the cockpit of the Talos Machina, running the cutter sword upwards, opening the cockpit, revealing the pilot inside. With a quick swing, Flatline beheaded the pilot, jumped into the pilot seat and did something before taking a plunge out of the machine.

The machine imploded. Flatline deployed his grappler stake, swinging on the complex, and was about to land on the speeding limousine when Gaul saw an etherian glow appearing in front of the limousine. Gaul moved out of the trunk, dashed out of to the front of the limousine and blocked the etherian. However, the blow that came from the etherian shattered the front of the limousine, before the etherian could land the killing blow on them. Flatline flew like an arrow, forcing the etherian to block him and deploy the metal tendrils on the etherian's suit. The voluptuous figure threw a swing, Flatline blocked with this cutter-vibrant, twisted his body, and land a solid kick on the chest of the etherian.

Wind blew around them as the rainwater dropped on the massive pipes. Standing on the road facing one another, the figure standing in front of Flatline drew a chainsword thrumming and vibrating.

"Haven has been advertising their killer well. We thought they were getting too cocky, but who would have thought this mission alone would cost us four etherians. I guess this is what they mean when by seeing it for himself. Flatline, was it? A Ghost that came out of nowhere. You are in my way!"

The orbs of light hanging on the circular tower not far from where he was lighted Jakob's face. The veil of rain splits the lights. On the community, there was a group of people opening the hatches so that the floodwater whirls down the drain. From the second-floors of the buildings, there were men and women dressed in thick gray clothing.Jakob rested his back on the bench. He looked up. The flyers of Aured City numbered about hundreds a day. The city consumed fuel than any of the bastion cities. He had been ignorant of the world. Jakob did not have to know about the city. All he knows back then was how to survive a day outside of the city.Jakob clenched his fist. He had done something to change something. He did not know what it was that made things turned out this way, but he could not understand the empty feeling. The feelings he had while in battle were like momentary and fleeting."I really cannot do it," Jakob said. The rainwater was like spray hitting h

Jakob stood behind Helga. She wore a sharp business suit with a red tie. She had gloved her hands and tied her hair into a ponytail. She spoke to a man armed to the teeth. Though he looked intimidating, Helga did not show any stiffness or being overwhelmed. How could he, when Jakob was standing behind her with such an expression? The two talked for minutes. Helga shook the armored hand of the man and started strutting to the pad. The Karnifex was on the landing pad. Helga stood. She took out a cigarette from her pocket, lighting it up. She looked up at the Aured Sky."Just a drizzle of rain," Helga said.Jakob folded his armored arms. Helga snickered."You are getting used to that suit.""Hard to take it off when it seems like you are making use of me too much.""Can't help it, you are a good at what you do. Also, the Boss wants to personally make sure that my safety is secured."Jakob surveyed the area. The personnel from the buildin

Dona liked to mix drinks. She had become a better mixer than ever. It seems she had a natural talent. Helga had praised her drink, and when Jakob comes home, she would give him a stiff one that would ease his muscles. They had not done it for a long time, though she did not mind it. He was always full of thoughts and his mind would wander. Not that it matters to her as long as he comes home safe from his missions. He had become one of the terrifying people that Haven knew after his recent works, which made him quite an important person. Just by association, they treated her with respect. Dona knows she was riding on his coattails. It did not bother her that there are those who would call her hurtful words.Jakob was not someone who was a restricting person. For someone who started the relationship with cash, he was someone who did not bother too much about it. He was not a wasteful man. He was thrifty, and he liked to eat nutritional food with fondness. He acts like an

The beluaman raises the ground, forcing Jakob to use the grappler stake to swing around the beluaman's attack, using the momentum created by the weight of the greatsword to hasten the swing. He turns around to smash the greatsword down on a 15m belua."Still alive, J," Helga called, "you are making Dona worry.""Got to buy time, Hel," Jakob flattened the greatsword to block a root spire. He grappled on the 15m belua, threw the greatsword, caught it, and pummeled a belua pouncing at him. Landing on top of a belua, he stabbed the greatsword's tip."Your suit is a mess," Helga said, "the amount of repairs it'll need is going to cost you. Nonetheless, the ether forge,

Her opinion towards humans were low. Anastasia will not work with these humans if she had the chance to do so. Blackwells changed her opinions of them. This time she had to admit. Humans were not as inferior as she thought. Their technology were keeping them alive. Even their medicine and drugs have started evolving. The suit this Outrider was wearing and the ability to lift her Blackwell's sword was enough to indicate.Still, it was odd in a sense that she did not see the usual side effects. He did not even take the usual syringes that one would take. Her and her Blackwells have been part of the many meetings and experiments. They share the burden of turning their fellow etherians into good soldiers. Therefore, she did not recognize any signs of modification other than the well-made exosuit. Deep in the swamp, hit by the rain, and surrounded. Anastasia kept her calm while pulling her Blackwells away. Blackwells conserved his energy. His eyes lacked light. There is an
