C1 THE ADOPTIVE FAMILY

"Ah!" Just someone lay the foot in her hand breaking her bones without any mercy.
"Jane You bitch! You want to live"
"you don't deserve it" the ruthless voice echoed near her ear.
It was her brother Joseph Jordan not a real one but the son of her adoptive parents. Every brother usually protects their sister and cherish them.
But he was terrible and bores an evil motive towards her. Only she knows how much effort did it take for her to protect herself from the devil-like him. He was a sin in the name of her brother.
"You vixen... you deserve this, " another angry voice sounded it was her adoptive mother Mary. Mary could only rely on her son alone for establishing her position whatever her son does she always covers up. It was like a precious gem to her which gave her position and power. Mary was lucky enough to bear a son for the family.
"hmph.." another figure snores at the side it was her adoptive father Martin Jordan. He was the CEO of his own small company. He was respected by outsiders but they did not know he is ruthless, he always does things according to his benefits.
The so-called family did everything to remind her that she was just an orphan and indebted to them. They never made her appear in public.
From her side, Jane always tries to make them happy when she first enters the house at the age of four.
Jane learns how to do the house chores, obey their orders, cook meals, and even do extra work for her brother Joseph but in vain.
Whatever she does cannot make them accept her. She understood it when the juvenile phase passed they will not be pleased as they hated her to the bones for some unknown reason that she is unaware of.
Jane did part-time jobs to pay for her daily necessities. She self-studied due to a lack of money and carried further studies on scholarship fees. Even then the Jordan family is not satisfied and she has to give half of her earning to Mary who shows no mercy to her.
She always taunts her with good for nothing child and said that it's her duty to pay the debt as they have raised her without much asking. But it is all a white lie, the truth is she was able to survive until now is due to her own struggle to survive and hope to have a better life.
Jane did not know that if they did not like her why did they adopt her? When they first come to adopt her they lure her with their sweet talks and being four year old child without parents what can one accept from her to understand. She just thinks that they really want her but no the truth was not this. So, why did they adopt her? This question never left her mind from childhood to adulthood.
Just one month and she was going to free from this lifetime cage but no today was just her last day as she thought she could not help but recall today's incident.
