  We spent the next couple hours going over our exact plan. He told me what he was doing in the area. Every year, he took a week long sabbatical in his cabin. It was off his pack’s land and it gave him a little break from his duties as Alpha. Only his Beta and Gamma knew where it was. He’d heard a child crying while he was headed there and fell into the vampires’ trap.“It sounds like they knew what they were doing and where they should be, Lucien. Is it possible your Beta or Gamma set this up?” I asked.“No, Robert and Thierry wouldn’t do that. If they were unhappy about something, they would’ve talked to me.
