  The early afternoon was uneventful due to my annoying roommate.   The car ride was silent, besides the earbud I had in my ear streaming music. I didn’t do well with complete silence or complete darkness. It always made my nerves spike. Giovanni was seated in the back, but I could feel his excitement radiating in the small space of the SUV. I chose to ignore my own budding excitement and instead, smothered it with worry.
