  • The Spirit Host   Chapter 11

Japheth's POV I watched as the security men walked to and fro around the administration block. They were all fully armed with either clubs and even guns. A few girls were walking around the blocks as well they were either going to study some more in their classes or going to the dorms to sleep."Ruth is preparing herself. She's in fact bringing us something to eat from the school's canteen". Fred said, standing beside me and looking straight at the visible administration block."School's canteen?". I questioned. He nodded. Most schools didn't have a school canteen that sold snacks or any other kind of food stuffs. Like for instance, our school canteen sold stationary only so there was no point in raiding it."Yes. Their school canteen. The one in charge of it is cooperating with them".

  • The Spirit Host   Chapter 10

Christina's POVNight preps were over, and everyone were heading into their various cubicles and dormitories... every one was tired of the day's events that had been a little bit too much and overwhelming to take it all in.I really did not want to sleep. I was afraid that if I slept then, something would happen and I wouldn't be able to save myself.I walked into the cubicle where I shared it with Hawo then got in where I found the form three girls whom we shared the cubicle with, talking in hushed tones to themselves as they were looking at various clothes: Jeans trousers, dresses, tops, hoodies... and other clothing that I hadn't seen quiet well due to the distance between us.Having such clothes in school was considered illegal according to the school rules. But there was only a particular time of the year in a term where we were allowed to come with the clothes. During the ta

  • The Spirit Host   Chapter 9

Japheth's POVI had not realized that I had fallen asleep until the moment I heard some one talk from a distance, It sounded like a female's voice. I opened my eyes, but the light was too much for me to take in all at once since it hurt my eyes so I shut them quickly.I slowly opened them again so as to adjust to the light. Seems like I had slept for a long time.I sat uprightly as I stretched out while looking around. George, Henry and Stanley were all still asleep... But where was Fred?.I wondered as I quickly stood up while looking around. High on alert in case of anything that could have happened. If he wasn't here then he could be the one talking some where in a distance. From a distance, behind some bushes stood two figures though it wasn't clear enough to see, I could still tell that it was Fred and that he had company.I walked towards wh

  • The Spirit Host   Chapter 8

Christina's POVI felt weird today. Though I had already talked to my Father and he had already sent me some cash but I had not told him what had happened early this morning. Cause I knew how over protective he always becomes and he would have come to school to talk to the teachers about it and cause chaos so I did not tell him to prevent such from happening.Whenever a parent came to school and ended up causing chaos or insulting the teachers, that particular student whose parent caused such would pay for it. The teachers would ill treat the student or punish her for the whole term, and I did not want such to happen. I hated punishments and I always tried my level best to stay away from situations whose consequences would end up with a punishment.. I was safe that way.I noticed a few senior girls from form three and form four coming to our class frequently to talk to Jackie and Trizah about some

  • The Spirit Host   Chapter 7

Japheth's POVMost of the boys had left, They didn't want to risk any other chances so they went home. We were only five remaining boys; Henry, Fred, George, Stanley and I.But it wasn't bad after all, we would still manage any way but we needed help from inside the school for that strike to go on.Meaning we needed to be in communication with one or two of the form four girls, to plan all these, for what we want to take place. Yeah, I know we were risking a lot. But I was a risk taker anyway. We all were. The good thing is that we were less which would make us to be less noticeable if in case something went wrong."What do you guys say we have some fun by pushing the girls to strike?." Fred asked.I looked at him in an amused smiled. Was striking what he referred to as having fun?."Not a bad idea... But h

  • The Spirit Host   Chapter 6

Christine's POVToday, after those boys left... seemed awkward. The day became different as security men wandered to and fro the school which was not per the normal. The teachers weren't present in all classes. Actually, no one was attentive in class... Most girls were still having panic attacks while others laughed and made fun about the day's going. From time to time, I could catch Trizah and Jackie looking at me. Were they discussing me?. Anyways I don't care about them, I was already used to them discussing me even in my presence."Hey Chris! Just want to ask if in case the boys come back for us, will you follow them or will you stay behind?". Trizah asked.I just looked at her. I knew what she wanted. She just wanted to provoke me... Nothing else!. And I was smarter than that because I was intending to ignore her questions no matter what.
