Chapter 18: Jealous and Drunk

Narrator’s POV

The next day, Kagome and Haise got ready to go to the wedding ceremony of Haise’s close friend.

“Are you ready, Kagome?”

"Yup. Be there in a minute,"

Haise waited for Kagome to come out. After a few minutes, Kagome came out and was dressed nicely.

"You look nice and beautiful,"

"Thank you,"

“Let’s go?”

“Yes”

“See you tomorrow, Haise and Kagome,"

"We will wait for your return,"

"Ok. Take care you two,"

“We will. You too”

Haise and Kagome left the shrine.

“Are we going to ride the floating palanquin, Haise?”

"Yup. It will only take 30 minutes for us to get there,"

"Nice. It's my first time riding a floating palanquin,"

Haise called the floating palanquin, and the two of them rode it. Thirty minutes later, they have arrived at their destination.

"We have arrived,"

"Wow, that's quick. It's like an airplane,"

“Airplane?”

"Yup. It's our way of transportation to a place that is far away,"

"Ah, ok. Come, let's get off,"

They got off the floating palanquin, and they landed on Haise’s close friend’s house. In the invitation, it says that Haise is their special guest. They will stay at their house in the meantime.

"Wow, this place looks great,"

"I agree,"

Suddenly a spirit appeared and approached them.

“Good day to you. Are you Haise?”

"Yes, I am,"

"Come, I will show you to your room. By the way, I am the maid here,"

The spirit showed them their room. It's only one room, but have a separate sleeping mattress.

“Is the room ok for the both of you?”

"It's ok,"

"Ok. I will be back with your food,"

The spirit left the room to prepare their food. Kagome and Haise rest for a bit. After a few minutes, the spirit knocked and entered the room.

"Here, have some tea and biscuits,"

"Thank you,"

"You're welcome. I will take my leave,"

The spirit left, and Haise and Kagome ate the food.

“Yum”

"It tastes good,"

After eating their food, they put the tray outside the room.

“Haise, can I roam around for a bit?”

"Ok. I will just rest for a bit,"

Kagome roamed around the place and was amazed because there’s a sakura tree. She went to the sakura tree.

Haise’s POV

I was taking a rest, and Kagome is not yet back. I got up and search for Kagome. Where could she be wandering around?

I was searching for Kagome when I saw her, and she is talking and laughing with a dog spirit. Suddenly the dog spirit puts his hand on Kagome's shoulder. Seeing them like that makes my blood boil, so I approach them.

“What are you doing to my lover? Can you put away your hand that is on her shoulder?”

"Ok, chill. I was just talking to Kagome,"

“Talking or more like flirting with her?”

We stared intensely at each other.

Hey, don’t start a fight you two. Ron, this is Haise, my lover,"

"Ok. I better leave now. Nice to meet you, Kagome,"

“Ok”

I was mad, so I walk out.

“Haise, wait up. Are you mad and jealous?"

"Yes. I'm mad and jealous of you two,"

“I was just watching the sakura tree when he appeared and talked to me. I have no choice but to talk to him too,"

"He is flirting with you, Kagome,"

"I know, but I can handle myself,"

"I know that you can. Just be careful ok? I don't want you to leave me,"

“Haise. You know that I love you and it’s only you. My heart only belongs to you, got that, Haise? Sorry about earlier,"

"Ok, ok. I'm sorry too. I cannot get mad at you,"

“Ok”

After Kagome and I made up, we hugged and head back to our room to get ready for the wedding ceremony.

Fast forward, and we are now at the temple to witness Mizuki’s wedding. Mizuki arrived and is now waiting for his bride to arrive. After some minutes, the bride arrived, and I was shocked because she is a human-like Kagome. Mizuki has fallen in love with a human too.

When the wedding ceremony is over, we went to the reception which is at their house. At the reception, we had lots of fun. After eating, Kagome and I approached Mizuki.

“Mizuki”

“Haise. Glad to see you again. It's been a long time. I'm glad you came to our wedding. Is this your lover? She is also a human-like my wife, Mina,"

"I'm doing fine. Glad to see you too. Yes, this is Kagome, my lover,"

"Come, let's drink. We have a lot of catching up to do. Mina talk with Kagome for a while,"

I left Kagome with Mizuki’s wife.

Mizuki and I talked about our lives and some random topics.

Kagome’s POV

When I was watching the sakura tree, I was shocked because a spirit approached me. He introduced himself and talked about something. Suddenly, Haise just popped out of nowhere. He got angry and jealous of Ron and me. I explained the incident earlier, and I said sorry to Haise. After that, we made up.

At the wedding ceremony, I was shocked because the brick is a human-like me.

After the wedding, we went back to the house because the reception will be held there. We ate and had fun at the reception. After eating, Haise and I approached his close friend. Haise introduced me to his close friend named Mizuki, and he left me with Mizuki’s wife, named Mina.

“Let’s talk outside?”

“Sure”

We went outside and talked.

"You are also human. How did you get here in the spirit world?" I asked Mina.

"I have no idea. All I know is, there was a bright light, and here I am,"

“Ah”

“You?”

"I was teleported here when I was doing an exorcism in the human world. I am a priestess,"

"Oh. You know there are also a few human here,"

"I know,"

"Is that man that is with you earlier, your lover?"

“Yes”

I told him about Haise and me, how we met, and how we became lovers. We talk for quite some time. Mina also told me that spirits live a long life, and if humans are teleported into the spirit world, their life will also be like the spirits. Mina told me that he lived here for ten years now, and she was glad because she met Mizuki.

I was happy to hear what Mina told me because I can be with Haise for a long time.

After talking, we head back inside. Mina and I became so close. When we are now inside, we went to where Haise and Mizuki are, and they are both drunk.

"You should take your lover to your room now,"

“Ok. Come on, Haise”

"Kagome. I love you,"

"I know,"

“Haha”

I help Haise walk to our room. When we enter, I quickly arranged his mattress and put him to bed. I was about to leave him and get my mattress when he stopped me.

"What is it, Haise?”

"Stay by my side, Kagome,"

I followed what Haise said. I stayed by his side. I know that Haise will not do anything with me.

"I love you, Kagome,"

“I love you too, Haise. Let’s sleep, ok?”

“Uhum”

"Good night,"

Haise wrapped his arm around me. I love it when Haise gets drunk because he is sweeter. I closed my eyes, and I put my hands on Haise’s chest.
