Chapter 22: Wedding Day

Narrator’s POV

Today is the wedding of Haise and Kagome.

Yesterday, Haise stayed at the restaurant all day, and Kenta was with him. If you are asking why? Because it's part of the tradition. The bride and groom should not see each other one day before the wedding. That's why Haise stayed at his restaurant, and Kagome is at the shrine with Aoi.

A few minutes now, the wedding will start. Haise and Kenta is now headed at the temple and wait for Kagome to arrive. As for Kagome, she is still at the shrine getting ready. Aoi is helping her.

Kagome’s POV

I am still at the shrine with Aoi. Aoi helped me get dressed in my wedding kimono and put make-up on my face.

“You're ready, Kagome. You look pretty,"

“Thank you, Aoi,"

"Now, let's go. Your groom is waiting for you,"

Aoi and I went outside, and I went inside the palanquin.

The palanquin is carried by four male spirits to the temple and Aoi is going to walk.

We have arrived at the temple, and Aoi opened the door. I get out, and Aoi helped me with my kimono.

When I was at the door, a spirit opened it, and I saw our guests, and they are all smiling at me. I saw Haise in front.

I am now walking slowly to Haise. This is it Kagome, you are now getting married. I am so happy and emotional.

Haise’s POV

When Kenta and I arrived at the temple, all our guests are already here. Any minute now, the wedding will start. I can’t believe it would turn out like this.

I wear wedding yukata.

Suddenly the door opens, revealing Kagome. She is a beauty, and she looks nice in that kimono. Kagome is now walking down the aisle. I can't control my emotions right now.

Kagome is now beside me.

"You look beautiful as ever, Kagome,"

“Thank you. You look handsome also, Haise,"

Narrator’s POV

“In the name of God, son, and the holy spirit. We have come together to witness the marriage of Haise and Kagome. We pray that the Holy Spirit will guide them and fulfill God's purposes for the whole of their life,"

After the priest said that, it’s time to say their I do’s.

“Haise, will you take Kagome as you lawfully wedded wife. To protect and be with her for the rest of your life?”

"I do,"

“Kagome, will you take Haise as your lawfully wedded husband. To protect and be with him for the rest of your life?”

"I do,"

"You may now state your vows and after stating your vows, put the ring in your ring fingers,"

“Haise, I am so thankful because you saved me from a possessed spirit. That day, I was kind of lost because the place is unfamiliar to me because I was teleported here by an entity. I am so lucky to be saved by you. As time goes by, I quickly adapt to the spirit world because it's the same as the human world. I was happy that I was teleported here because I met good and hospitable individuals, and I don't want to go back even if I have the chance. I also fell in love. I was a bit hurt when you rejected my confession because you said that you promised not to fall in love again, but I was happy when you broke that promise. Haise, let's be with each other for the rest of our lives and face the challenges that may come to us,"

After saying her vow, Kagome put the ring to Haise’s ring finger. Now it’s Haise’s turn to state his vow.

"Kagome, I was happy that you teleported in the spirit world. Yes, I promised not to fall in love again because of my past relationship with a human because of a tragic incident, but I broke that promise because you made me realize that it is not wrong to love again. Love sure is unexpected. I started to like you during the shrine festival. That day, I told myself to break my promise and learn to love you. After a week, I realized that I already love you. You are easy to love, Kagome. Thank you that you came into my life. Let's be together for the rest of our lives. I promise that I will protect, cherish, and make you happy,"

Haise put the ring in Kagome’s ring finger.

"You may now kiss the bride,"

Haise and Kagome shared a romantic kiss.

All their guests clapped their hands and cheered for them. Kagome Yuri is now Mrs. Kagome Ayato.

After the wedding, they took lots of photos. After taking pictures, they all went to the reception, which is Haise’s restaurant.

When they arrive at the reception, Haise’s employees cooked food. After that, they ate, danced, and had lots of fun.

The newlyweds are happy because finally, they are married.

“Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Ayato”

"Thank you, everyone,"

They all had a good time at the reception.
