LOGINThis message was a message preached today by Pastor E.A Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG)The text of this topic is gotten from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.The key points we are going to take from them are these.1. Rejoice always.2. Pray without ceasing3. In everything give thanks. Before I begin to explain what I learnt, I heavily apologise that I have not been updating the word for sometime.I was facing an internal battle and by God's grace I won.1 Thessalonians 5:16 - Rejoice always.Philippians 4:4 - Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, rejoice. The bible passages above are telling us that we should rejoice in the Lord always. Not when things are good but also in bad times. As children in the faith and sons of God, our rejoicing should be in the Lord and not in tangible, material and physic
Nothing can be done without light because the eyes cannot see in darkness. The whole world is in darkness today.Darkness is associated with everything evil, demonic, and all forms of sin. Since man fell in the Garden of Eden, he has been living in darkness. But thanks be to God, the Father of light, who send light to the dark world so that man can see and know the way."In Him was life and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness and the darkness comprehended it not." (John 1:4-5).Jesus Christ is the light from God sent to give light to every man and woman born into this world."For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved" (John 3:16-17).Adam and Eve sinned against God and plugged the whole world into sin."For all have s
Who is Jesus Christ? The first question anyone who hasn't heard of Jesus or who has but doesn't know Him would ask. I didn't even ask myself this question until I was eighteen.I know I should be praying to him and have a relationship with him but who is He?The first answer would be Jesus is the son of God who died on the cross of Calvary for our sins. Who came as flesh and dwelt among us only to be hated for speaking the truth and wanting to redeem us from our dirty and sinful nature but we crucified him by accepting and living in our very nature and had an innocent man pay by taking our sins and dying with it only to rise on the third day and redeemed us from eternal condemnation. Can I tell you this brother's and sisters who were brave enough to read this book. Our master, Jesus Christ is far more than that. The book of Isaiah 9:6 talks about who Jesus is. They call Him Wonderful, Counsellor, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
John 3:16For God so loved the world, he gave us his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.Note that those who believe in the song of God will not perish it is certain then those who refuse to believe in him will perish. This death is the death of the soul which is in the lake of fire. But God is not willing that anyone should perish (2 Peter 3:9). And for this reason He sent His only begotten son who has been with him from eternity past - to come and suffer and die for the sinful man.God's only demands from man, from us is to accept Christ's sacrifice of death in a simple faith and sincere gratitude. And this condition is for all men in all generations, regardless of race, color, gender or social status.Unfortunately, however, many rejection this offer of salvation; we refuse Christ's invitation to life everlasting. We prefer other substitutes to salvation. We ignorantly and
