Chapter 3 - The Forgotten History

They are now back in their hotel room safe. They could not believe what had happened. It seems that the chaos they've into is real and there's no point in turning back. 
" Cel, we're dead now right?      Abby speaks sadly.     " We were just living harmoniously in Achker, but then all of what we kept to believe has shattered, and now things are more confusing".    Abby sighs.
"At least you two guys, you know what you are", me... It's like this search for myself is endless, what I was taught to believe about me was a lie"      Celestine answered her .sadness, and exhaustion can be felt in her voice.       " I just wanna find that voice",       she whispered with deep longing.
" Hey guys, can you still take it?        I will open the lost page and let's see what's in it!      Quasi interrupted them.
" Ok! bring it on!",       Celestine composed herself.
Quasi opens her palm and the letters in luminous gold come out of it, forming into words, many words.... grouping itself to its places, forming a paragraph...slowly...slowly, then there was an instant blast! A blinding light spreads in the entire room, it stays for a minute then it slowly fades. As it fades, a scenario unfolded unto them, as if there is a big screen in front of them.
"oh...I thought it's a book or something",     Abby commented.
"No, it seems that an astral has recorded these events in the astral dimension to protect himself and the page, whoever did this... he must be cunning," Quasi explained.
" Look, Cel!"        It's your mom, right? Abby is looking at the movie-like scenario in front of them. Celestine's eyes widened in shock. How come? she thought. Now all their eyes freeze on the scenes unfolding before them, waiting for more revelations.

The content of the lost page

" Fireflies gonna come tonight dear, "     a woman in her forties said to Celestine's mom as she combs her hair. They are in front of that vintage gold mirror, in a large bedroom. 
" See the moon?",      the woman asks her mom. It's shining full tonight because a prophet born from an incarnate is going to be married to an astral,"      said the old woman.
" I'm excited yet scared, mom",     her mom told the woman.
" There's nothing to be scared Cicely",      only something to be excited about, " the woman replied smiling, excitement can be seen in her eyes.
"Ok everybody now is waiting for your entrance",    the old woman touches Cicely's hair, fixing it.     " Let's go",    she added.
At the ceremony, everybody can't wait to see the bride.
Alfie is there in front of the altar, waiting for his bride to enter in that aisle. They have chosen a night wedding in the garden because both of their families believe that fireflies and magic will come. After all, their union is so rare. It is the very first time in Achker that a prophet born from an angel incarnate will be married to an astral. Everybody is excited for them, and wondering what breed their offspring will be.
Fireflies indeed came as Cicely walks down the aisle, it walks with her as if escorting her to her groom. Everybody is amazed by what they are seeing, and when the bride reaches her groom, the moon shines radiantly gazing towards them two, and then it changes in color, it becomes luminous blue. 
" Woah!",      the crowd said in amazement.
The wedding was magical and romantic. Ava feels so happy for her daughter. Cicely is her only child. She's expecting her offspring will be an angel incarnate, since their soul and blood is considered strong and dominant, but she gives birth to a prophet, her daughter Cicely got her abilities from her husband, her husband Charles is from the prophet family.
" Do not rejoice"! a voice suddenly interrupted the moment. The crowd looks around searching who arrives uninvited.
It's Cascade! 
" Cascade I thought you're not coming", Ava said smiling, still in denial of what might happen.
" From now on, no incarnate will be heard in Achker, whoever from your family will not remember, and you will not be remembered",      Cascade uttered loudly and mercilessly. Then, he moves his hand pushes Cecily with it, a cloud of black smoke comes out from his palm eating up Cecily's memory. Ava tried to stop Cascade, in a snap of her fingers, a blade comes out, she throws it at Cascade, Cascade fights back, hitting Ava with the smoke, then after he turns to Charles as if saying a spell.... " sleep for tomorrow your lives will be different", then Cascade took releases a dagger from his hand and throws it Ava. She was hit so badly, then Cascade waves his hand commanding the dagger to be pulled from Ava's chest, hitting Cecily and Charles next.
The crowd at the wedding was shocked by what they witnessed, at the same time wondering how could Cascade just defeated Ava and Cicely that easy. The angels incarnate is the strongest family in Achker, Cascade must have planned this attack for a long time. He cannot win over them without getting help from somewhere, they said.
But those were the last thoughts they had about the incarnate, and Cecily, and Charles because, the next day, no one remembers them and they also cannot remember who they are, except for Ava Cascade doesn't know if the curse affected her, she just disappeared after she nearly died from their clash, he knows she's still alive somewhere, but he hopes that the curse had power on her. The next morning, Felon accompanied Cecily and Charles and the other incarnate. They gave them a plane ticket, arranges everything so they could start a life outside Achker living like humans. That day, all Achkerians remember that they are humans who just go there in Achker to ask for help. No one in Achkers remembers about the incarnate family, and Cecily and Charles. What they now know is that there are only the prophets, astral and auribus in Achker. There are no families of angels incarnate. That what every reincarnated souls in Achker forget about. Cascade erased the incarnate from their history, and after that their family- the prophets ascended as the most strong and dominant in Achker. Cascade could still remember how he does it.
" You cannot defeat Ava her clan is all way stronger than you."       said the man in a dark cloak, unless you use the mermeros curse.       "Since they are an incarnate trapped in a human body, they are vulnerable to that cursed", the man explained. " Anyone can be vulnerable to it except the one who has the sacred stone in his soul".       Cascade is surprised by what he heard. 
" Sacred stone"?       that is what every reincarnated soul is looking for. We need that so we could survive in the Apocalypse, that is our guide, where is it"?      Cascade asks hastily.
The man laughs...     "It's not where Cascade, the question should be who possesses it?",      the man answered him.
Cascade is more puzzled now. He must have that stone, it's a symbol of power, a ticket for his reign in Achker and the future.
" I want to have it",     he replied firmly.
The man comes near him, sniffing his face.... then he laughs again.      "Oh, I could smell greed in your soul",     he said to Cascade in wide eyes and teasing voice.
" There's no way you can get it, but you can make one",      then the man laughs wickedly.

After that incident days in Achker had changed. There were only 3 clans taking refuge in there. They started to live like incarnate has not been part of their community and everyone's lives. Later on, Cascade Achkerians saw Cascade return with an unusual stone, saying it would be their means of life and survival from the coming doom. It will be their bridge to the world they have been waiting for and to the fullness of their reincarnated souls. And Cascade told the Achkerians it is the sacred stone provided by the highest power for lost souls like them. Ever since that day, the Achkerians lived their lives for the stone, looking up to Cascade as the keeper. That is how their clans, the prophets started to become the noblest and powerful in Achker.

Meanwhile, Cicely and Charles live in the human world like it's their first life. They could not find any incarnate from Achker. They all got separated from each other with no memories left about Achker even memories about their past lives were erased. All that Cicely knows is that she and Charles are a newly married couple and years after they had their firstborn, a girl... and they named her Celestine. 
There is this one lady who has a weird fashion style, who visited her at the hospital one day when she gave birth to Celestine. She told her that she's her mom's friend and her name is Felon. Cicely knows her mom has died when she was still a kid, and she can't even remember how does she look like. Felon had become a constant visitor, a friend yet a stranger because there are some things she doesn't know about her, and she's not interested to know it either.
But one day, at Celestine's first birthday, she overheard Felon's conversation in a distant, at the corner of their garden, where they held a party for Celestine.
" Cascade will come to get her when she's of age, there's nothing you can do about it",     Felon told the lady in front of her. They look almost of the same age. 
" Don't be so sure about it, tell Cascade he can't have peace as he desired, because not all incarnate was affected by his curse,"      he told Felon smirking.
" There's nothing to boast about Adaia",      no one remembers that your clan had existed. The lives we are living in now, are the truth we come to embrace",      Felon answered teasing Adaia. " And besides even your daughter -- your blood and soul condemns you", then Felon laughs horribly.
" Achker is only for the reincarnated souls, not for the incarnates like your clan", but your daughter is safe to keep, she loses her ability and she's so meek to be a sacrifice, seems like Cascade becomes her god."      Felon added.
Adaia clenches her fists, thrilled with anger, wanting to punch Felon.

"Felon who's there?",      Cicely calls. When she comes near, the lady whom Felon is arguing with, instantly vanish.
" Where did she go? who's Adaia?  "  she asks Felon.
" Oh a distant friend",      she told Cicely smiling.
Cicely did not bother to ask more, but deep inside she knows that Felon is hiding something, and she feels that she's not what tells she is.


Watching everything from the lost page, tears rolled in Celestine's cheeks. Abby and Quasi stares at her. They could not say anything, they don't know what to say, they could not find any words to console her. Besides Abby, is still in shock, she's not expecting she could see a scenario of her grandmom there. Now she understands why they have been told that her gran is an outcast in Achker and no Achkerian especially their family is allowed to see her. All her life she believed they are an auribus but there she heard her gran saying that they are incarnate, like Celestine. 
But Celestine lineage is a lot different. Her grandmom Ava is an incarnate angel, her mom is a prophet and his dad is astral. Both her soul and blood are a mixed breed. 
" Uhmmm... Cel, I guess you are the only, mixed, tribrid we have known so far",     Abby expressed in wonder.     " I'm happy for you, even though your soul could not remember your past life, at least now, you know your roots.... and your parents!... what a revelation! "      Abby exclaimed.
Celestine still could not see a word. She doesn't know what to feel. Cascade is like a father to her, she's her guide as she explores Achker, Cascade was always there when she has questions, or when Felon or anyone in Achker is mad at her. Cascade was so kind to her and her friends, they miss punishments whenever Abby is naughty because Cascade defends them. But now, this is not the Cascade she knows.
" Cel are you okay?",     Quasi's voice called her wandering mind.
" I don't know",     Celestine answered in a low voice.
" So what now?    I am a mixed breed, how can this help us? How can this help my parents? Where's my gran? "   Celestine asks successively.
Then she breaths exhaustively, and started crying silently.
" Haiiist!... it is a good thing that I am just a half breed, a half astral and a half-human",    Quasi tried to crack a joke, but there's no effect.
Silence ... "Ok guys, enough" ..  .Quasi hug his two friends. 
" So maybe now, guys since you find out that you're an angel incarnate, you decide which angel you will be? will you be an angel with a shotgun? "    Quasi asks, smiling, cracking a joke again. 
" Hey, that's a song I think",      Celestine replied smile.
" Oh! there... you smiled!,      Quasi claps his hands joyfully.
Then he turns to Abby. 
" I'm missing the naughty Abahaya",    he said.
Abby throws a pillow at him.
" You! I hate hearing my name in full, it sounds annoying!",     Abby said smiling.
" Guys I think the Achkerians have to see what's in the lost page",     Celestine said instantly, interrupting her two friends.
" Let's bring this home",    she added.
" Ok",    they replied.
