LOGINStacy was finally going to tell her counselor today, she was just waiting until lunch like she always did, and slithered to the counselors office. She didn't want Shelby or Brandon to see her, or to tell Kelly that she had gone to the counselors office. When she finally reached the door she knocked hearing a come in she opened the door.
"Hi Mrs. Fitz I know we don't have a meeting scheduled for today, but I can't keep going on like this…" Stacy paused "I need to talk about this with someone, someone that can't tell anyone." Stacy said sitting in the chair in front of Mrs. Fitz
"What is going on, Stacy? When we have our visits you never tell me anything. Are you alright dear?" Mrs. Fitz asked her green eyes filled with concern for Stacy. She cared about her students.
Stacy took a deep breath not trying to hyperventilate, she was so scared to tell anyone what was going on "You promise not to tell anyone?" Stacy asked she needed reassurance that she was safe.
"I swear Stacy now tell me what is going on." Mrs. Fitz told her watching Stacy's breathing she gave her a stress ball to squeeze. "Deep breaths hun in out in out."
"Well to start off…." Stacy paused and squeezed the stress ball… She felt like her chest was going to explode. Her heart was racing and her whole body was shaky.
"My step mother hurts me… Sometimes she won't give me food, other days she will make me do everything for her... dishes cleaning, she has me eat these really hot peppers. Sometimes I go a week without eating." Stacy's eyes filled with tears and her voice cracked, her hands were shaking, she hadn't even gotten to the worst part she was afraid to even speak about it… Would she believe me? She thought in her head..
"Stacy... chores are normal, now peppers, not eating... are very serious it's called child abuse and that is not ok. What else is going on at home Stacy?" Mrs. Fitz said eyes were filled with anger and concern, she never wanted a student to go through this. She would of course need to make sure that Stacy was safe at the end of the day that's her job.
"It's not just chores… Sometimes I have to sleep in the basement closet… She will lock me into the closet… I can't take much more… that's not even the worse part..."
Stacy's voice broke and she broke into tears as the bell rang lunchtime was over she would have to get back to class. She couldn't let them know she was here and she didn't want them to call if she didnt show to a class "I… I have to go…" Stacy said running out of the counselors office she couldn't risk missing class nor being seen in the counselor's office on an unscheduled day someone would tell her step siblings, it was such a small town- everyone knew everyone. Word got around so fast, it made her stomach hurt.
Stacy's whole trembled now, she was shaking as she walked into her classroom taking a seat in the back of the class. She had stared off into space not thinking about anything reguarding what she had just done. What if Mrs. Fitz called Kelly or her dad? She didn't get to mention that it wasn't just her step mother that had been hurting her, she was so afraid of someone finding out that she told. Tonight she would finally see her mother again for the second time, Kelly couldn't keep her away from her mom, right now. She didn't hear the teacher call on her; she was so lost in her own thoughts…
"Yo freak-show loser!" The boy in front of her called her "Didn't you hear the teacher call on you. Come back to earth." He said and the whole class laughed.
"Enough students!" Mrs. Hastings said and all the kids stopped laughing. "Now can you please come up here and solve the problems
Stacy?" She asked. Stacy went up to the front of the class the problems were all easy 7+7=14, 6-5=1 and lastly 5*2=10 she wrote down the answers and they were surprised that she could solve the problems on the board, they were just barely starting multiplication, yet Stacy had already known the answer. "Very well thank you. Take your seat dear."
Mrs. Fitz was in her office and she knew she had to do something she couldn't let abuse go unnoticed, or let Stacy keep being abused. She didn't even get to tell me what else was going on at home, so Mrs. Fitz decided to go get Stacy from her class as if they had a scheduled meeting that way no one would know about her telling.
"Mr. Ryan, hi I was wondering if I could see Stacy for a little while we had a scheduled meeting but I had another person in my room, so I just want to check on her and do our daily meeting." Mrs. Fitz explained and Mr. Ryan agreed and let her go. Most of the teachers knew that Stacy had counseling and were worried about her well being. Stacy got up and got her things and went with her, once they got to the office Mrs. Fitz had locked the door to make sure noone would interrupt them.
"Can you tell me who else is hurting you Stacy, and how they're hurting you please?" Mrs. Fitz asked nicely and her eyes focusing on how Stacy was reacting.
Stacy took a deep breath remembering everything brought tears to her eyes and she explained what her dad did to her, and what he did this morning, she explained how he said it was because he loved her, and how she had blood in her underwear. She explained her peepee hurt, and she didn't know what to do. Her voice was shaking and crackling as she explained the whole story and how she wasn't sick. Mrs. Fitz looked at her with horror in her eyes. She was about to break her promise of not telling anyone and she would make sure Stacy got to a safe place.
Stacy looked at the blanket scattered on the floor, she wondered if maybe it was the wind, or maybe a rat, it couldn't have been her right. She focused in on being cold, and really wanting the blanket again she had to see if she was going crazy and she didn't have much time left. She thought really hard and it didn't move, she felt like she was going insane, once again shivering and looking at the blanket trying to take deep breaths and calm herself down, maybe that would help.... slowly the blanket began to rise off the floor and move towards her...OH HOLY COW WHAT THIS CAN'T BE TRUE NO WAY!!! No way no way was she a witch? No no no that stuff was not real at all right?!??!!!Still the blanket now on her lap begged a differ it was on her lap after being over in the closet area in the room! Wow wow this was so cool and scary!Pulling her out of her thoughts came a knock at the door, it must be dr Nichols act cool she thought to herself. If
If it wasn't already as terrible telling her councilor Stacy was alone in the hospital bed officer Shay was outside the door as Stacy had to strip. Her clothes would have to go to the evidence for trace of what had happened to her this morning.... She was now in a pink hospital gown with unicorns on it, if she wasn't so nervous and scared she would've thought it was cute, her blue eyes looked dull and tired, her hair was messy and her body shaked with terror. What was gonna happen to her now?She took a couple deep breaths trying to calm herself down but she couldn't, tears came streaming down her face. What if she had to go back? Was it really normal for dads to do what hers had? Did it really mean he loved her? Why did she still hurt so bad on her hooha? She thought as she heard a knock at the door. It was the doctor to come examine her."Hi Stacy I'm Dr. Niah Nichols I'm the doctor for pediatric victims unit, I am not here to hurt you. I'm jus
After telling Mrs. Fitz the police had soon arrived at the school to get Stacys story. She hated repeating herself over and over again she had already felt like her dad was going to murder her if he found out she told anyone, now the police were here talking to her. She told them the same thing she told Mrs. Fitz. Tears streamed her face each time she had pictured what had happened this morning. She was off in her own world thinking about how much she was in trouble, how she'd get punished, and how they wouldn't believe her, when officer Shay came in and kneed down by her. Officer Shay had beautiful brown hair that was all the way down to her hips it was pulled into a high pony tail, she had a tough demeanor, although she was very nice to Stacy, she was very fit, and she was a victim officer. "Hey Stacy were going to the hospital ok? We have to run some testing and get you seen by a doctor okay?" She said trying to comfort her and make her feel safe.&

Stacy had nightmares about what her father had done to her, she was afraid to speak or even look at him. She feared that if she told that he would find out and beat her, and then do it again. How much longer was she supposed to take the abuse? How much longer could she stand staying silent about it? She just wanted a escape, she wanted to run as far away as she could. When your only five you don't get very far without the police finding you and taking you home. As she got dressed that morning for school she had brushed her hair in the bathroom, tears streaming down her pale white faces, her blue eyes dull and with a hint of pain, her red hair used to be long and wavy was now ear length and straight it was uneven and it looked horrible she absolutely hated it. She hated Kelly, she hated her father, she was lost in her thoughts of hate when her father had burst into the bathroom door, locking it behind him. Ken knew she hadn't ta
The next week had been the worst she had ever had, the punishment seemed to go on forever. She didn't get to go to school for that week. Kelly had called the school to say she was sick, also she called the visitation center to tell them Stacy was sick, they both seemed to buy it. The closet was dark as the light bulb had burnt out, Kelly didn't come check on her, neither did anyone else, did they even notice she was gone? She hadn't eaten besides the peppers she was forced to eat. It had already been about five days that she had been in the closet, her stomach was rumbling, she could barely talk and her mouth was so dry. She had heard someone come down the stairs Stacy stumbled back into the corner. To her surprise her father opened the door, he had a smirk on his face he was wearing basketball shorts, and no shirt on Stacy stared at the plate of food and drink that he had, there were also a couple of snacks on the tray that he held. Where was Kelly Stacy thought. Why was he b
