We didn't return back to Miami after the Incident of me being kidnapped.  Instead Damien said we should live out our remaining weeks in the Phillipines.

We arrived in Miami two days ago and Damien made sure to arrange an appointment with the doctor.  We went yesterday and it was all good.  The baby was fine and in perfect health.  Although, I was told to reduce my rate of panicking and thinking too much as it could affect the baby.

This morning, I work up with Damien telling me to quit my work until I put to bed but I'm not buying that. I'd rather go out and exercise myself that stay chocked up in the house doing nothing but sharing recipes with Rose.

"Don't be stubborn over this" Damien gritted his teeth.

"I can't just stay home Damien. I would loose my mind"

"This isn't about you Jay, it's about the safety of our baby. Stop being selfish and start thinking about others!" He yelled before walking into his study and shuttting the door behind him.

Damien and I haven't been on good terms since we returned from Boracay and it's the case of me not going to work. We turned into quarrelling birds.

He should try to see from my point of view. It's easy for him to say I should stay home but I can't imagine myself doing nothing for four bloody months.

My mom picked up her phone on the second ring and I was grateful she even picked at all. She and dad are on a break at a resort downtown Miami. I hear it's pretty cool there.

"Oh honey.  It's so good to hear your voice" mom chimed. There were voices in the background and I'm guessing they aren't in their suite. Probably out on some adventures. My parents have been one to love exploring.  I bet mom has tried all the foreign foods there.

"Me too mom" I hummed and there was a long pause before she spoke.

"Honey you're not alright are you? And don't even think of lying to me and telling me you're fine" she gritted.

She knows me so well. She's my mom after all.  When I was little and I got sad or scared, I usually hid under my bed until she'd come get me and then we'd eat lots of popcorn together.

"Baby"

"Mom...it's nothing serious it's just after everything that happened in Boracay, Damien thinks I should stay home"

Yes I told my parents how I was kidnapped and everything. My mom almost had a heart attack but she recovered when she understood I was fine and there was no harm done.

"Honey...he's thinking about your safety and the baby's" her voice was calm and soothing but I was nervous as hell.

"I can't stay at home. I'll just loose my mind mom.  For four months!"

"If it's to make sure your healthy and the baby is healthy isn't it worth it?"

"It is" of course it's worth it but I'm fine and I won't break my ankle while walking down the stairs. I can handle myself. Ok now I think about the ankle breakin, I cringed.

"All I'm saying is that you should trust Damien. He loves you and that child your carrying. If he thinks it's best you stay home, you should"

I sighed. "But..."

"Let's see it this way dear, if Damien was the one pregnant and he was told to stay home but he refuses, how would you feel? Every time you're at work, your thinking about him all the time and if he's ok. That alone is a lot of stress"

I never saw it like this. I smiled even though my mom can't see me. How does she always manage to tell me the right things.

"Thanks mom. I see it now. I was such a bitch to him" thinking about our little matches since two days now, I feel like the world's greatest idiot.

Staying home is probably the best for me until I pop my little duckling.

"Apologize to him Jay" mom's voice boomed through the speaker. I'd almost forgot she was still there. There were voices in the background and mom spoke to someone I'm assuming is dad.

"I will mom. Bye and say hi to dad for me"

"Will do honey" she said and quit the call.

I made my way for Damiens study, hoping that he as in a better mood and I still have a slight chance of saving my marriage. I hate fighting with Damien.  When I do, it's like everything else goes wrong.

I stopped in front of his office door and knocked twice but there was no reply so I pushed the door opened slightly. He wasn't in. His desk was empty and his laptop was shut close.

I made my way for our bedroom.  That has got to be the next place to check.

The door was already half opened and Damien almost never does that. I went in through the little crack at the door and shut the door behind me.

"Damien" I walk past the first side of the room where a shelve of books and a comfortable couch sat. Damien was on the bed. He was still in his work clothe and he was laying on his back.

His tie was loosed a little bit and his shirt was untucked.  He still had his shoes on.

"Damien" I took more steps  to him and sat on the bed. His left arm was above his head covering his eyes while the other lay at his side. Something wasn't right.

His laboured breathing and the sweat I saw on his forehead made me place my palm against his forehead.  Oh my gosh! He's burning up.

"Jay...go. Don't come close to me" he muttered. I could barely hear him. I rushed to the bathroom to wet a piece of clothe and then I came back to him and placed it on his head.

His lips were moving but I couldn't hear a thing he was saying. I pressed the clothe to his head and his hand grabbed mine.

"Call our doctor" he whispered and I hurriedly picked the room phone dialing doctor Smiths number. He picked on the first ring.

******

"It's a good thing you called me quickly" doctor Smith said. He placed his kits back in his bag and then turned to me. "He has a fever but it should be down in some few days."

"Is that all?" I was full on biting my lips now.

"He needs lots of rest.  Stress is a killer on It's own"

I wished Damien was awake to listen to this now. Maybe he'd listen to me when I tell him to take a break sometimes.

"Also, here are some drugs I wrote down. You can get get them at the pharmacy"

"We have one just some blocks away" I said. I could manage to drive there and get the drugs along with some other things he might need.

"Perfect then. He would be fine" Doc Smith got up taking his bag with him and I walked him out the door. I quickly scrabbled a note for Damien in incase he wakes up, telling him that I went to get drugs.

****

I knew I shouldn't have said hi to the man behind the counter. He kept smiling like a sleazbag at me. After I got the medicines,I proceeded to the mall to get some stuff. I'm not even sure exactly what I bought but I know they're important.

I walked by the counter again and the man grinned at me. I'm pregnant you idiot ! I wanted to yell at him but I didn't because it was clearly obvious.  He's probably a nut, old ignorant pervert.

When I got back to the house I went straight to the kitchen laying out things for making hot soup on the table. I think feverish people are given soup. I'm not sure cause I've never been sick but I've seen it in movies and read it in books.

He door to the bedroom was a bit opened as I made my way in with a tray of soup and his medicines.

Damien was still laying with his hand over his eyes but I could tell he's awake. He held my note in his hand which was rested on the bed.

"I made you soup" I placed the tray gently by the bedside drawer.

"Jay, you can't be here" he muttered.  His voice was hoarse so I handed him the glass of water on the tray. He sat up a bit and took big gulps. His body was still heated up and it was shaking because it's getting worse.

"What do you mean? I'm not leaving your side" I said and gave him his medicines.  He drank those too. "Have the soup"

"You have to. I don't want  you getting sick because of me. It's highly contagious" Damien mumbled.  Somehow, I was picking out everything he was saying.

"I'm not leaving you. For sickness and sorrow remember?"

Damien stared at me for sometime and I think he's going to smile but he can't muster up the strength. He just drank the soup quietly until it was almost finished, then he placed the plate back on the tray.

"I know baby. But again, this is not about you. If your sick, it could risk everything" he said and I nodded. The baby. I have to think about the baby.

"You can stay at our new home till I'm alright" he muttered.  I barely got that one.

"I'll just stay with Chloe.  I'm not moving in there without you" it was the Mansion he showed me days before we travelled to Bracey. We were supposed to move into it this weekend.

"Fine. I don't want you on your own anyway" he said and shut his eyes. I stared around the room for some minutes before I started taking his shoes off.  He was still in work clothes.

I helped his tie out of his neck and then his shirt and pants. Then I covered him with a blanket.

I went to pack the few things I'd be needing with me in Chloe's house. Just some few things. The fever won't last more than three days or four and now I think about it, I can't stand leaving Damien alone.

I zipped my little stay over bag and walked to the side of the bed, planting a kiss to his sweaty forehead.

"I love you"

I scribbled a note down telling him I've left to Chloe's before leaving the room with my bag in hand. I'll call Rose in the morning and she'd take care of him from then on.

  • Way To Forever   37: Cramp the games

The sun was already going down and I've given Damien many kisses than I can count. We didn't only golf but barbecued. Rose came over and helped us with steaks. We found a shady spot with a wooden table and trunks like stools round the table. It looked man-made though but it was pretty."Thanks for the steaks, Rose"Rose smiled at me and nodded before going back to the grill. Everyone was much too hungry after the games to even talk. Chloe of all people was stuffing her face with potatoes and steak at the same time."We should do this every weekday Dammy" Elle said. I cringed at the name she called him because once upon a time, Bethany had called him that and it annoyed the hell out of me. Still annoys me."Are you planing to stay here much longer?" Damien frowned and I hit his leg under the table. He stared at me and I mouthed be nice. He rolled his eyes at me and dug his fork into his steak.

  • Way To Forever   36: Let's golf it up

Danielle hit the ball so hard, we couldn't find where it flew to. It's a warm Wednesday and we're both playing golf and bonding over food and makeup."Do you think it ran into the trees?" Elle asked. She bent down and picked another golf ball."Guess so"I placed my hand to shield my eyes from the sun. Elle had told me to take a cap with him but I'd blantanly refused. I thought it'd be weird wearing a summer dress, tennis shoes and a cap. Oh and let me not fail to mention that I'm pregnant. Now I see she had a point."Do you hear that?" I asked Elle. There was a humming sound coming toward us. Like a truck but it didn't have that rugged sound. Elle dropped her ball down next to a hole and gave it a tiny tud. The ball rolled slowly along the well trimmed grass until it entered into the hole.I clapped my hands as Elle jumped up and down. That's her first win today.

  • Way To Forever   35: Bonding with Danielle

Coming to the house Damien bought for us over a month ago again felt like coming into a totally different place. The place was transformed and looked pretty. Fortunately for me, Damien didn't change anything about the interior of the sitting room because I'd loved the modern yet vintage setting. And of course, I didn't fail to notice the double security Damien put up. Since the house was by the water side, I think he has this idea that I might be kidnapped again by water and all that shit. I don't even know all the crazy stuffs that go through that guys head. He thinks I'm a baby that need pampering!"Would you like a feet massage before Mr Forrest get back from work?" The plump lady in front of me asked. She's not Rose. This house has more maids than I could ever imagine. So Rose is like the head of them all. AND NO!....."I don't need a foot massage!" I state with a loud and clear voice, hoping sh

  • Way To Forever   34: It's all her

The moment we stepped back into the ballroom, Bethany's eyes zeroed on me and I gave her a little, tight smirk. She rolled her eyes and looked away. Haha sucker! Damien pulled out my seat and then excused himself. I was left with Bethany and some others at the table.I wish I had brought my phone so I didn't have to stare at her stupid face all the time. I dragged my hands over my tummy as the blonde by my side smiled at me. I smiled at her. She wasn't here before so I guess she just arrived."Hello. I guess your here with Damien" she said and I nodded."He's my husband" I smiled and she chuckled."Why, it's nice to meet you" her voice sounded English. Her thick accent also complimented her tight blonde bun and black Versache gown. I bet she has a black or silver sandal to go with it. Her eyes were also masked with thick mascara and smoky eyes. She's pretty and I'll hate to think she was one of Da

  • Way To Forever   33: All that matters

As I sat in the Limo, I tried not to remember the last time I and Damien were together in this same Limo. I had gone over myself that night.Damien squeezed my hands and I stared up at him. There's no telling what would transpire at this event. We might meet Alberto and we might not meet him. We might find out that he was the one who sent those kidnappers and we might learn that he's not the one. And even if he told us what we needed to know, how would we know that he was telling the truth??."Just remember to smile always and if you feel nauseous or sick at any moment, just tell me and I'd get you out of there" Damien went over the note of the night."Alright. You've told me that like seventy times now" I sighed and he chuckled.."I just want you to be happy and safe at the same time."The Limo came to a stop and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. This wasn't one of chloes fa

  • Way To Forever   32: A charity ball

I woke up with movement above me. I opened one eye slowly so I don't go blind from the brightness of the room. Damien smiled when he saw I was awake."Good morning, beautiful" he hummed and then planted a kiss to my lips. "I made you breakfast""Hmm...I like the sound of that" I grinned."Sure you do. Come" he took my hand and helped me seat up. I relax against the head board and he fetched a tray of what smelled like chocolate chilli tart. There was a rose by the side ."Damien. You're incredible" I brushed my nose against his. "I love you""I love you. Now eat before I loose my patience" he smirked."Pervert!" I called out and he shrugged. I found myself digging into the tarte and boy, was it good. Yes it was. I dipped my finger into the Marple syrup by the side and stuck it in front of Damien."Have a syrup" I teased."Are you kidding m
