Chapter 7 ( A Meeting Of The Minds)

Rahnyah touched Val's arm one last time and turned towards the open area of the room and spoke clearly," Shemanch Rhie Rhom! Berlin, Germany!" Rahnyah’s portal opened and she stepped through to the German Stronghold deep in Berlin. Spinning roughly she landed with a slight wobble as the prophet Vilhelm was holding a  Blackwell troll by his collar and screaming,

” What’s my Name Bitch! What’s my Name! Damn! You gonna make me slap a dick in yo face you do this again!” Turning slightly as Rahnyah entered the room he smiled and nodded,” Ah just the person to help me get this trash to the Brig of Rage Gale!” Smiling, she opened a portal to the door of the Brig obediently and waved him through and followed after.  After they hit Rage Gale and Vilhelm had the Troll safely ensconced in the Brig cells beneath the city she turned to him and spoke,” King Rehnquist needs to speak with you would you come to the keep with me?” The prophet nodded his assent with a smirk," He is always asking me to come to the Keep." In a thick German Accent. 

The beautiful mage giggled and opened another portal to the room in the keep. The old prophet shook his head as he stepped into the wormhole and he wondered what could be so important for him to send one of Earth’s best mages to come collect him. As they exited the wormhole, there were two electric purple oval doorways in the room.

 Just as they stepped through into the room, Janice came through her own portal as the Gnome king and Midget king came through the actual doorway flanked by Lord Andronus of Avalon. At this point the miffed king cringed  again at not knowing the elves were still living on Earth. How could they have kept this from him? He was a ruler should he Know?  He stood and motioned everyone in the room to take a seat around the table and motioned for two pages to retrieve some more chairs so everyone could be comfortable. Janice and Rahnyah instinctively conjured food on the table as well as a few pages came through the door with trays heavily laden with  fruits, vegetables and meats. One tray had beautiful crabs legs piled high with large urns of melted butter. Rahnyah looked at Renquist and he nodded to her slightly with a chagrined look upon his face and she motioned for everyone to take some food before she sat down next to Lord Valudus. Looking over, she lightly touched his arm turning slightly towrds him and nodded for him to retell his tale. She never took her eyes off of his face and her hand never left his arm. She felt she needed to comfort him somehow and she herself needed comfort. She had just found out that she lost her wisest, dearest and most treasured confidant and friend she had ever known in this life. Rahnyah was torn and lost to put it mildly. Ishellia was there when she found out her husband Gregory was Lupe Larue and with her Ancient Alien dna from her Riooan ancestors caused a stark and dark mutation in her daughter Hadassah. Ishellia had been Rahnyah's midwife when she found out she was with child while at the Magorium Incatata Institute of Higher Knowledge. The two had been inseparable these last twenty seven years. Ishellia and Val had housed her when Gregory left her for parts unknown and refused to honor her with dissolution of relationship. 

Rahnyah knowing what Val liked reached out and poured him a drink and made him a small plate of strudel, grapes, and a few bits of cauliflower and sauce. Val noticed her gesture and gently touchedher hand in gratitude .Taking a bit of apple strudel he took a bite then drank a long drink of water from the mug by his side and then spoke to the people at the table. All were in shock as they heard the tale of Lucifers’ treachery and evil. He retold the tale of the battle and the death and how Ishellia had been pummeled trying to save the lives of the women and children near the chapel.

Maxius Stillbrow shouted across the table,” I knew that son of a minotaur backside had lost his damned mind. Ever since New Los Angeles he’s been wonky in the brain lookin’ for that damned sword of  Dah’Nah. I told him Meself a time or two that he needn't be trapesing all over the world for that damned weapon." He would just look past me and nod, procure more goods for his expiditions.

The gnome tinker master nervously and shook his foot and proclaimed that he had people in Antarctica, building bases and airplanes for a price already. Rehnquist looked at Stillbrow and was shocked a bit not having heard about much of anything especially the situation at New Los Angeles. Looking around the table he felt quite odd having come back to a young son scared witless trying to run a country with barely any knowledge of how to do so, regents who abused their powers and took the rights away from the citizens of his country.

 He had spent so many years in the prison in Buenos Aries that he failed to realize the extent of Lucifer’s madness until word leaked out he’d killed his father just before the attack at the Chapel of Light. Taking a deep breath he spoke,” I wonder what he is gonna do with the bodies of the dead he took with him? There have been rumors he is using an old virus that utilized Nanobots and had caused the whole planet to be quarantined from any aliens from entering the zone or landing on the planet.” Trying not to hurt the arch druid Stormyst in the asking but knowing it needed to be said. 

Janice spoke up softly, “Knowing Andrew, I mean Lucifer, he will resurrect them and bend them to do his will and control them as he does the zombies and make them part of his undead army. Some of them become Blood Bourne vampire and some become brainless oafs and others remain their facilities of the mind and body and those, those are used to wreck war and havoc upon the citizens of the world.” Valudus paled at the thought and swallowed roughly trying not to vomit at the thought of his wife and son undead at the mercy of a mad man.

Then Rahnyah lit up and grasped Val's arm causing him to turn to her." Val? was he carrying Excalibur?" The old druid nodded yes. " Oh Val! There is still hope for Daz! He may not be dead but he will have to struggle against alot of violent programing to find his way back to us." Val grasped her hand, his large one totally engulfing hers in warm radiance." I can only pray the Father will allow me not to loose my only son."

Again Janice spoke,” We have a truce with the faction war for a brief time to assail the devil and there may come a time when a permanent solution must be met. Drow had to take his throne from Goareth again by force.” King Rehnquist winced at Goareth’s name and anger flowed through his bones wanting to end the truce before it had even begun, but as a good king, he knew must put aside his prejudice for the good of the many. " As long as I only deal with Drow I will have no course for retaliation. Should I ever see Gorath again Janice , I will kill him. Mark my words." he responded with a harsh hiss to his voice.

Moving down the table, Janice sat down beside Rahnyah. The mages looked at one another and nodded in silence when Rahnyah leaned over and whispered in Janice’s ear. “When I ported to the Berlin, Vilhelm had this troll by his collar and yelled,” I’mma slap a dick in yo face!” I was shocked and wasn’t sure as to what I should say. I mean what can you say to that? Sometimes there are just no words” Janice Laughed out loud and said quickly,” Ahh, I was told it was just a Shaman thing, Drow said it twice in less than an hour.I was quite amused. Drow was dancing around to an ancient Black eyed Pea song.” Rahnayh laughed loudly and covered her mouth to stifle the sound as the king looked at the mages sternly. 

Valudus looked up and spoke,” So it is agreed, we all will work together in unison to bring this son of a minotaur’s backside to his knees before the whole of the world is destroyed by his whims. It is such a shame he was such a good child.” Rahnyah nodded in agreement. Everyone at the table rose their glasses and sounded their assent. Then Rahnyah raised her hand and asked to speak as they all stood around.” I have been doing some research, Lucifer is an ancient evil. He is one of God's angels who it seemed was so full of himself he felt he should have free will as well and was cast out of Heavens. How does one kill an angel?  We need someone who has an understanding of the ancient books to tell us what can be done."

"Very few parts of the human religions are left, there is not, that I have found anything in TORAH that I have read that can lead to an understanding of killing him. Judaism is a religion of peace not violence. The other religions  fell to the wayside when the outcome of things was not like they had envisioned them to be. When God did not rapture them up to heaven like a thief in the night. I can do more research on the subject and will get back to you when I have found something.”

 The group nodded and bid each other good bye. The mages popped wormholes to other places to send them back home and go where ever the wind took them this day. Rahnyah looked at Valudus and smiled through her tears. “It will be ok. Somehow, someway, it will be ok. " Reaching up as he leaned down she wrapped her small arms around his neck and hugged him tight, huge tears rolled down their faces as they clung to one another in their grief. Everyone in the room faded to the background as they held one another for what seemed to be hours. Rahnyah looked up at Val and said," I need to go to look in Robelaire's library, maybe he has something that is written somewhere about killing an angel.
