All Chapters of Partners: Chapter 11 - Chapter 20

Elyssa parked in front of the old docks.  She secured her motorcycle and then turned towards me. I ignore her and decided to look around.  Trash is here, the weird smell is here, and I can totally see the place that I hid in the last time I was here. Nothing changed. 

I was having breakfast when Casey calls me, at first, I ignore the call, because I don’t think that I can have a conversation with her without talking about everything that’s been going on.  But when she calls for the third time in a row I have no choice but to call her back. She picks up from the first ring. Not a good sign.  

I slept on the couch that night, and woke up with a stiff neck. I groaned and stretched my limbs as I got up. Shitty night. I turned to bedroom and saw Elyssa still in bed. Good, at least she hasn’t run away.  I got back into my assignments and worked until I heard shuffling from my room. Elyssa groaned and I went in to see what was going on. She was awake now, and was frantically looking around, when she saw me, I saw her shoulders relax. We looked at each other for few moments before Elyssa cleared her throat. 

First half of the day we spent doing nothing in particular, Elyssa’s head got better and she could even walk without losing her balance. We ate left over food and then Elyssa decided to rip of the band aid and called her team. They agreed to come here to meet with her. Elyssa was fidgety while she was waiting for them, I tried to calm her but she wouldn’t listen.  Soon enough 2 people came and sat in the living room. From their glances at Elyssa, it was easy to tell that they were angry. I didn’t move from my desk and only looked at the situation from the side.&n

 My attention wavered throughout my lectures and I didn’t take any notes. At least I managed to get my course work turned in on time. I need to thank Elyssa for that. She stayed up all night to keep me company while I worked on my life portrait thing.   Luckily for eve
