I wake up to my alarm blaring on my nightstand, I groan as I smack the off button and roll onto my back. My eyes still feel heavy given how even though I went to bed at nine, I maybe slept two hours. Every school year, every day I leave the house is filled with the fear of being outed and my whole life falling apart.Last night all I could think about was Zayne and what he went through with Conrad at Walgreens. I wake up to my alarm and look over to see the clothes I picked out have been switched for others. I check my phone and see Arriana has texted me nonstop for the past hour.That shirt wouldn't match those jeans.How are you still asleep???

It's been three weeks since Zayne and I kissed, and every couple days since and every weekend we've hung out. Arriana has been great covering for me, she's spent a lot of time actually studying to cover for me leaving the house. While Tempe and Caira don't like her being M.I.A, Zayne and I certainly appreciate her efforts. Zayne and I had gone to Dallas over the weekend and at a shop in one of the malls he found a cute pink granite phone case and a book of 100+ recipes of cakes you can make in a coffee mug, he put that and some face masks and candy in a basket for Arriana to thank her for everything she's done since the first day of school, to thank her for being there for us.

For almost a month now, Zayne has been on edge, terrified his father will send him to a conversion camp. Knowing the closest one is in Dallas doesn't help either, the distance almost scares him more than the camp. He hasn't been sleeping and he's been struggling to not cling to me in public. Both of us have been struggling with that.While he's struggling with the fear of being sent away, he's been trying hard to eat more and has made a little bit of progress. Some days are harder than others, especially with Conrad around.
