Contrary to myth, Boa Constrictors do not crush their prey, or break bones. Also, the snake does not cause suffocation by squeezing the victim;  instead, death caused by the snake occurs when tightening shuts off blood flow and limits oxygen needed by vital organs such as the heart and brain, leading to unconsciousness within seconds and cardiac arrest.

Danny felt the excitement building up. Over the last few hours, the small man had lost hope. He wondered if he would every find Kyle, even believing the AI had been killed. Swiping frantically at the screen, watching the red dot, he tried to zoom in on the map, but the display was misbehaving. Danny kept swiping and pinching his fingers against the glass screen but the map only moved around, rather than zooming in. He cursed under his breath, willing the machine to respond, until finally, his desperate attempts worked and the map enlarged on the screen, homing in on the exact location of Kyle.

The train was now directly in view, straight ahead and Darcy leapt up out of the sand, as if she were a snake, springing out of the ground to devour her prey. The sand quickly fell away from her body and in an instant, Darcy was on the move toward the train. Her mind was focused, she was waiting, but nothing happened and all she did was continue to run at a normal speed.
