Settling in

Once they reached New York’s welcome sign, Sky lighted up and looked out of the car’s window. She has only been to this city once in her eighteenth years and it was three years ago when her parents booked a holiday here. At 3 am Sky woke up in a lot of pain and bite her lip to not make any noises that could wake her roommate up. She reached for the water glass that was in her bedside table and took in another aspirin. Then she laid in her bed until 9 am, watching the sunrise and hearing someone talking with the phone outside her’s and Nathalie’s room.
