Rain, again. The soft sound of rain hitting the windows was like a lullaby. Her big brown eyes closed and she fell asleep.Suddenly a crash could be heard. Something was braking. She looked through the peephole and saw the two big animals moving away from the floor a going up. ''This time I must hurry. I have no idea will those dead humans turn into zombies and try eating us, or will these animals on the end choose to eat the few living ones. I must find a safer place for all of us.''Clara looked at the two children and sighed. ''First I will go get us some food. Then I will go climb up to the top floor and check if any building has better security than ours.''Ian shook his head. ''I heard father speak about strange building few blocks away. he said it was made completely from stainless steel and unbreakable glass.''Clara's eyes shook. ''I know that place. I will go and check it out quickly. The change in humans happens as it seems every few hours. I must hurry. I fear there won't be any other way.''Mia stood up and made a decision. She stepped out of the bathroom and followed Mia that held her shaking body. When she saw the nest they made, she chuckled even tho she was really tired. ''What are we, birds?''The two chuckled but Mia stopped as she saw her expression. ''Mia, take Ian and take inside the carts I left outside. I am just too tired and can't, but the two of you just have to pull them inside and lock the door tightly. Rush fast.''With a slow motion, she took one big thick blanket and wrapped herself in. Cold, so cold. The whole day she was around coldness. Her body temperature was so low that she shook furiously. Luckily she never was sick in her life. After the clothing store, she went to the store that had materials. Rolls of different kinds of clothing materials found their way to her truck.Pillows, blankets, thick sleeping wear, and finally she found mattresses. She saw them rolled in the corner and with kids help, she took a few of those rolls to the truck.Looking at clouds she furrowed her eyebrows."Mia, Ian, let's go to the store and get yourself some snacks and let's go back home. The weather is getting worse. Soon it will start snowing again. Let's hurry."
