“Mark… We’ve been married for three years, but you’ve never touched me at all. Instead of loving me, you feel disdain and disgust for me instead. Today, I will personally pull you out of my life as if you’re an unwanted child!” “From now on, we shall have our own lives and walk separate ways!” Setting aside the signed divorce agreement papers, Charlotte laid on her bed and felt as if a great burden on her shoulders had been taken off. She let her hair down and she laid sprawled out on the bed. Her long and lustrous golden hair cascaded down her back and strongly contrasted her jade-like complexion. Her petite, yet passionate figure was like a masterpiece. Simply magnificent and gorgeous! At the moment of epiphany, the coldness that she had in her heart had vanished. Replaced by warmth and coolness similar to that of a spring breeze. 

“Oh, right! I forgot to ask. Charlotte, since you returned here… I take it that you’re not afraid of accidentally bumping into that scumbag Mark Jimenez, right?” Nurie suddenly raised this topic while they were in the middle of eating dinner.  The moment her question came out, Charlotte was caught off guard. But she continued to savor her food as if nothing had happened. “So, what? We are divorced!” Charlotte coolly said. If they crossed paths, then they would be strangers! “Really now? Well, that makes sense, but are you truly not afraid?” Charlotte fell into deep contemplation and then gave her reply to Nurie, “It’s a lie to say that I’m not afraid to bump into him. But it’s been three years! We weren’t even that intimate, so I think that he doesn’t even probably remember me anymore!&rdquo

Matsu and Charlotte hit it off pretty well. With her entourage, Charlotte learned a lot about Ayala Corporation for she didn’t omit even the slightest detail. At this moment, Charlotte suddenly found herself in the subject of a speech hosted by Matsu. Charlotte couldn’t help but find her as sweet and thoughtful. At the very least, Matsu’s personality struck her as someone caring and that she didn’t care about the differences in their status at all. Despite the fact that Charlotte could be considered as Matsu’s boss. Matsu treated her as if she was a friend and didn’t put any airs towards her. When Martha left, Charlotte became even more nervous. She struggled to control her nerves as she made sure that she looked calm and composed. Mark sat solemnly on his Hamilton Series Leather Swivel Chair. His suit’s color was that of midnight, but it was unbuttoned, revealing his chiseled muscles beneath. He was definitely a bewitching and breath-taking man. It was out of Charlotte’s expectations that both of them would meet like this after three years. “You still haven’t answered me,” Mark asked once more. Charlotte gulped a mouthful of saliva and replied, “I’m not! I’m from New York City!” “Oh?” Mark’s interest was piqued, “Hand me over those documents. Since you came here to report for your duty, then they must contain your personal profile and CV.”  Charlotte obliged

The simple question left Charlotte dumbstruck, she felt lost as to what she should say. What’s more, Mark looked as if he was about to catch on something soon and that further exacerbated Charlotte’s nervousness. “You must be mistaken, Mr. Jimenez. I’ve lived a huge part of my life in New York City. How can you possibly be familiar to me, when this is the first time that we met?” Charlotte gave out a forced smile. “Mr. Jimenez. I have a lot of work to do. I’m still trying to familiarize myself with the work environment of Ayala Corporation, so forgive me if I did something wrong. I’ll excuse myself first.” Charlotte deftly bypassed his hands with graceful movements. Then, she hurried over to the door.
