“Zeevia’s POV” I was lost in my thoughts when a knock came on the door. I wished to give permission to enter, but I couldn’t utter a word. My throat was dry. Swallowing be came torture as if tons of thorns were piercing. I could only taste blood. No food was edible. Even gulping a sip of water was strenuous as if it was made out of the sand. I heard the knocking for a couple of times. I was about to stand up with all the efforts I had. The man who brought me to hospital yesterday bulged inside the room. After an introduction and his purpose if coming here, he requested me to take some food. I was feeling helpless as I wasn’t capable to explain my suffering. I denied taking food but he didn’t give up like the way Jack does.

"Zeevia's POV"I kept thinking he won’t return. The thought made tears roll down to my cheeks. I was sitting on the bed thinking I again became lonely and there was no one to care for me, until I saw Brandon entering the room, accompanying his friend. At an instant I saw him, I wanted to grab him for a hug. This foreign feeling inside of me whenever he was around was making me lose my senses. When he kept assisting me to have food, I couldn’t withdraw my gaze from him. His caring attitude towards me was making my heart slippery like jelly. When his friend asked me to play the card game, I agreed only because I wanted to stay beside him as longer as possible. When his first magic failed, I saw Brandon laughing while mocking at him. Which caused laughter to escape from my mouth.

"Zeevia's POV" I kept weeping until I got dozed off to sleep. ********************* When I woke up the next morning, I had an untold pain all over my chest while my head was heavy as if I was carrying 1000 pounds inside of it. Whenever I happened to recall last night’s event, I felt guilty for being selfish. I shouldn’t have acted that childish. Maybe it was because I was spoiled by my Pa’s affection towards me. Till his last breath, he had fulfilled all my wishes. There was nothing that I wanted and never got. It could be the reason why couldn’t digest the fact, Brandon couldn’t be mine. I shouldn’t be so selfish. Rather, I should be thankful for getting to know a person like him. Nevertheless, the girl whom Brandon claims to love would be the luckiest amongst all.
