Lanie's POV:"Alright! Let's make a group of two. For the summarization of our lesson about the Conspiracy Theory." Mr. Liam told us loud and clear.I tried to open and focus my eyes on what he's been saying. But my eyes won't cooperate. I badly want to sleep, if only I can use my fingers as a stand so that I can keep my eyes open, I'll gladly do that. Unfortunately, I can't.I started to blink my eyes. I hold my face with my hands for my own good. Because I really want to sleep in my armchair. I even pinched my cheeks to stay awake.I really lack sleep.We returned very late. And that's because of my brother, Sage. He didn't bother to sleep. And out of all places, he chose to stay in our living room!We waited for hours! But he stayed in the living room until dawn before he decided to go to his room. We feared that he'll come back so we don't have a choice but to stay awake.

Lanie's POV:I can't help but frown every time I caught someone looking at me. They are obviously looking at me! And when I caught them, they will just look away like it's nothing.Since Yshmael's fanatics made a scene in the cafeteria, everyone started gossiping. They're not doing anything or asking me about what had happened. They're not picking a fight with me also, but they are staring. And it alone made me uncomfortable.I heaved a sigh. I still want to spend my time here in the library but I think I'll just stay in our dorm room for now. I don't want any attention right now, it's distracting me.I edged towards the library's door and went to our door. Like what I'm expecting, I found no one here. Lanie's POV:"Alright! Everyone, this afternoon you will see the assigned departments for the upcoming festival. Each of your name will be posted under your department, and you can see it on the bulletin board."Ms. Lorie tapped the table loudly, she succeed of getting our attention."Don't ever think about not joining. It will be an addition to your specs, and those who will not join their departments will be given a lot of demerits," she added before leaving the room.I crouched on my desk and let a sigh.I do not know how I fell asleep last night, nor how I was able to listen to the class since this morning. Though, some of the proffesors just gave us some pointers to review for the upcoming exam.They are still busy. The one who put the virus into the school's system is still out there. And the school's management is still investigating the case and searching for clues.

Lanie's POV:“Owww, my neck hurts”. I whispered as I head towards the cafeteria.White lies. That’s what I said in front of the whole Journalism Club. In order to learn everything behind that scary clip, I need to think of a way. And that way was full of white lies. Honestly, I'm not used to lying. It is a huge pain in the neck. I kept on making eye contact with them so I wouldn’t get caught. I'm not ignorant. I know for a fact that what I am trying to do needs caution. It’s dangerous. I felt a hunch and I disregarded them because I believed it wasn’t true and these were all just fiction you can watch on TV and read on books but no, they’re not. I was wrong. It actually happened. And where it came from and what’s it for, that I don’t know.I looked back again before I continued walking to the next hallway. I can no longer see Yshmael and his two friends however I still feel their eyes on me, watching my every move.
