In the last 25 years of my life, I have had three major abuse by men. Physical abuse by my dad, mental abuse by my former classmate, and sexual abuse by my ex. My life was absolutely miserable, enough to be named a living hell. I’ve always felt that life is unfair to me, and why should it be me? There are zillions of people out there in the world, but why me? Argh! I’m being selfish again. Nobody in the world wants to experience the same thing I have.

The sound of Jeanette’s special alarm in the shape of a minion would wake us up at six in the morning. While she was getting ready for work, I would always find myself standing in the kitchen, making some breakfast. This morning I felt like eating eggs and sausages instead of just sandwiches, so I made two portions for Jeanette and me.

Ever since that first meeting with Mrs. Wilson, she kept visiting my apartment either for a short conversation or sharing her homemade cakes and pastries. She didn’t want her masterpiece to go wasted since Joel didn’t allow her to sell them. According to his opinion, once people tasted a single bite of her work, they would want more. As a result, she would be kept busy in the kitchen and very likely get too exhausted due to her age. I’d say I agreed with Joel no matter how strong Mrs. Wilson claimed herself to be.

Jeanette was very happy to hear the good news I brought after returning home. She said that it was also because of Mrs. Wilson who forced me to celebrate Joel’s birthday the other day. I didn’t deny it. Therefore, I bought her a set of cookie cutters with various shapes as my gratitude.Last night I spent hours studyi
