It was five o’clock in the morning. The place was still wet and cold due to the rain of the previous night. It has finally arrived, the day which Kamal, was to go to one of the most prestigious boarding school in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria. He is the eldest son of Mr. Tanko, a tall dark man who was an English teacher from the village of Mazaga. He recently won a scholarship which gave him the opportunity to study far away from home. It’s been his dream to travel far away from home since when he was a child but never has he had the chance to. Mazaga is a small village by the road side with a population that barely exceeds five hundred. With that small population, almost all the members of the village can identify one another.    After Kamal was done eating, he unconsciously fell asleep due to the exhaustion he had during his journey. He slept for two hours, before he heard a voice calling his name. When he got up, he realised that it was Anas."You should change into your house wear and go to the mosque and pray. The bell for dinner will be rung any moment from now, and you shouldn't be late to the dining hall because we usually have our meals at precise times" Anas explained.   Kamal changed into his house outfit and went to the mosque. When a teacher comes in, Kamal tried to hide himself so that he won't be asked to introduce himself. Sarah kept defending him when other students were making fun of him.
