Masters High was a world of its own. It wasn’t a school for all comers. Visitors to the state looking for a very good government owned school for their children were definitely directed to masters high!It was a school that strongly upheld the tenets of discipline, high moral standard and academic excellence. People greatly criticized government for building such a school because it was clearly way better than other schools built around the state by the same government, which were substandard. The school boasted of steady electricity, sufficient water supply, ultra modern equipped boarding facility, state of the art gymnasiums, modern classrooms... It also boasted of top notch staff, save for few teachers who teaching wasn’t their calling.What I loved most about the school was the geography library and the evergreen football pitch. They both took my mind off the uncertainties of life. Mum had initially encouraged me to enroll into the school’s boarding house
