I spent the whole day with Wyatt, talking and having fun. I almost forgot what it was like to just feel free and not care for once. Sadly my carefree time is over and I have to face reality.                          Wyatt was kind enough to drop me home but as I walk up the driveway I see something I was praying to avoid, Ava's car. Shit. Luckily, my mum is away for work, she left this morning, so I'm fine in that regard but Ava is another story. "No it's mine!" Are the first words I hear as I step inside his house. A little blonde boy—no more than maybe eight or nine years of age—runs past me with a small auburn haired boy in tow. The blonde boy appears to be holding something and the auburn haired boy is chasing after him, his small fists raised, I'm not going to lie it's adorable.                    There is a scuffling sound from behind them and soon an older looking woman comes into sight, her face is riddled with lines and her eyes have massive bags beneath them, showing her age and most likely a huge lack of sleep. Her salt and pepper hair is messily tied into a bun and she has a frustrated look on her face. She crosses her arms over her chest and speaks in a loud, firm tone, "Noah, Carter! I wake up the next morning to the sound of my phone ringing. Urgh. With my eyes still closed I answer the godforsaken device and hold it to my ear. Whoever this is better have a good reason for waking me up on a Saturday. "Hello?" I say in a groggy voice.                            "Rise and shine green eyes!" Oh, Fuck no.                            "How the hell did you get my number?" I demand, now fully awake.                            "I can't be telling you all of my secrets, now hurry and get ready I'm waiting for you in your driveway."                          

He turns around and sees me before I have the chance to close his door, well shit. "I'm so sorry," I say, looking away from him, my cheeks a deep shade of crimson.                             "That's quite alright," I hear him chuckle, "no harm done." I hear some scuffling but I don't know if it's safe to look so I keep my head turned away. "You can look now," Zack says, chuckling to himself. I turn to him but I can't utter a word, this situation is too damn embarrassing. I just want to crawl in a hole and die, is that too much to ask?                            "Cat got your tongue?" My Monday started off like every other, with my alarm blaring, forcing me to get up. Reluctantly, I pull the sheets off of me and start my morning routine.                            Forty-five minutes late Ava's outside my house honking like no one's business. I bid farewell to my mum and siblings before slipping into my converse, grabbing my bag and heading towards her car. "Learn some patience woman," I snap at my best friend in a joking manner.                            She shrugs off my comment and starts the drive to school. We make idle chitchat in the car, nothing important just how our weekends were, minus the Wyatt parts, obviously.
