I watch as the crowd starts to multiply, right in the middle of Heavens-Dale street.   Not only were there adults, but the number of screaming teenage girls, clutching posters, seems larger than before. They're peering down the street, as a fleet of trucks, cars and minivans pass them by, and the girls chase after them, screaming his name.  I follow the crowd, smiling to myself as a little girl starts waving her own handmade poster, lettering: "Marry Me Ryan!"  You wish, kid. He's mine.  As soon as all the cars come to a halt near the beach, a limousine also pulls up and the screams are becoming distinctively louder. It takes almost nine bodyguards to pull back the crowd of screeching girls, in order for the chauffeur to open the limousine door and let out the star.  And that's when I see him. 

The car finally pulls up in front of the school gates. I listen to the crunch of the gravel underneath the tyres, as we search for a parking space amongst the fleet of students, eagerly piling into the school building. I search through the faces of a few girls, huddled together giggling whilst clutching their text books. Of course, nobody here is familiar to me. I've lived in Wisconsin all my life, so I've never had contact with anyone outside of the state. No relatives, no friends in California whatsoever. So fitting into a place like this, will be more difficult than I thought.  Mum finally parks the car, near the front of the school, and turns around in her seat before I'm able to open the car door, gripping my arm with her hand. Awkwardness.  If I had to use one word to describe the setting right now, that would be it. The only noise to cut through the silent atmosphere is the sound of Mum's best china, being delicately clinked together as we eat our spaghetti and veggies in silence. Spaghetti is also the only dish my Mum can actually make without burning. Most days, we just order take-away or pizza.  I'm sat right next to Lily, which isn't so bad, I suppose. She pushes her vegetables around her plate silently, occasionally darting her mother anxious glances. I don't suppose she really enjoys eating broccoli and baby carrots.  Aaron on the other hand, is sat right opposite me. But he isn't really eating at all. "There's Cassidy!" Some random girl says to her friend, pointing in a vague direction. I follow her gaze, spotting a huddle of girls, talking and dancing at the same time. Only one of them seems to stand out. A slim girl with long black hair, reaching her waist, as well as a big, bright smile on her face. She's clutching a red solo cup, giggling and dancing with a group of guys, a 'happy birthday' badge clipped onto her bikini top. That's the girl, Tessa was talking about. Grabbing a drink from the nearby outdoor table and down it, scanning the area for more familiar faces, but to no avail. This party is so boring. I turn to enter the living room once again, in search for Tessa, and a new song is blaring through the speakers, 'Work' by Rihanna. It's finally the weekend.   Which means, I can look forward to a whole day, without any interruptions. Mum doesn't really bother me on a Saturday. She stays in her room, stuffing herself with junk food whilst watching cheesy, romantic chick-flicks on Netflix. I entertain myself by either Skyping my boyfriend, eating, watching The Vampire Diaries or sleeping.  But for some reason, this morning, I have absolutely nothing to do.  Our new house is much bigger than our old one, therefore it isn't quite as homely or familiar. We haven't yet bought a new bed for my room, so I find myself waking up at around 9am, tossing and turning in my lumpy mattress.  My hair is a mess, and my pink unicorn footsie pyjamas are hot, sticking to me uncomfortably.
