view moreIt's finally the weekend.Which means, I can look forward to a whole day, without any interruptions. Mum doesn't really bother me on a Saturday. She stays in her room, stuffing herself with junk food whilst watching cheesy, romantic chick-flicks on Netflix. I entertain myself by either Skyping my boyfriend, eating, watching The Vampire Diaries or sleeping. But for some reason, this morning, I have absolutely nothing to do.Our new house is much bigger than our old one, therefore it isn't quite as homely or familiar. We haven't yet bought a new bed for my room, so I find myself waking up at around 9am, tossing and turning in my lumpy mattress. My hair is a mess, and my pink unicorn footsie pyjamas are hot, sticking to me uncomfortably. I sit up and trudge out of bed, heading towards the bathroom. I don't think Mum hasn't woken up yet, so th
I think I take after my Mother when it comes to cookery.Nothing I bake or fry, ever comes out decent. My homemade cookies are inedible. I can't boil an egg to save my life. It always turns out way too runny or completely rock hard. And every-time I try to make a pancake, I get overexcited and it ends up all over the ceiling when I try to flip it.Yet, they still expect me to take and succeed in Home Economics.I tie my hair into an untidy bun before tying the blue checked apron around my waist. The teacher drones on, sorting us out into different groups and talking us through the methods for creating a successful 'Velouté sauce' (whatever that is). Unfortunately, I seem to find myself in a group consisting of three girls and a decent-looking boy called Darren.Including Kennedy Travers and one of her dense, irritating minions. God
"There's Cassidy!" Some random girl says to her friend, pointing in a vague direction. I follow her gaze, spotting a huddle of girls, talking and dancing at the same time. Only one of them seems to stand out. A slim girl with long black hair, reaching her waist, as well as a big, bright smile on her face. She's clutching a red solo cup, giggling and dancing with a group of guys, a 'happy birthday' badge clipped onto her bikini top. That's the girl, Tessa was talking about.Grabbing a drink from the nearby outdoor table and down it, scanning the area for more familiar faces, but to no avail. This party is so boring.I turn to enter the living room once again, in search for Tessa, and a new song is blaring through the speakers, 'Work' by Rihanna. This causes an unimaginable amount of grinding and twerking. Oh God, save me now.Work, work, work, work, work, workHe said me have to
"C'mon, Please...""I never said I wouldn't go. I said I'd think about it.""Alright, fine." Tessa nods, wounding a strand of her chestnut brown hair around her finger, delicately. Something I observe she only does when she's thinking hard. "But let me know when you decide to come. It's the birthday party for one of my friends, Cassidy."The students of East-Lake High are lively and buzzing over an upcoming party, in which everyone's invited to. As far as I know, it's the eighteenth birthday party for a girl named Cassidy Wilson, who's stupendously rich. Her parents have decided to leave town for the weekend, so she's planning a massive party in her luxurious villa, in the Eden Estate.Personally, I am not a fan of parties, or any sort of big event. I'd be perfectly content at home, watching Netflix whilst eating my weight in popco
