As I ran, I started to remember all the times that Blake and I had spent it here. Most of them were good. A few were bad. I lost track of time and where I was. When I reached the cave, I stopped. I lifted my muzzle and sniffed. I could smell Blake. I could tell he was alone and in human form. I shifted, quickly putting on my clothing and walked into the cave. I woke up in the morning to Alex looking at me. I blinked and smiled up at him. His bright eyes shined with happiness and pure love. "How was training my love?" He asked me as he placed a kiss on my lips. It was quick but I could tell there were so many emotions behind it."It went well. I woke up to the sunlight hitting my eyes. I rolled over and smiled as I snuggled into Alex. I kissed his chest and he stirred. He rolled us over and kissed me deeply. “Good morning beautiful.” He said sleepily. I slowly padded back to the house. I slowly padded up to the house and looked at the windows. All the lights were out in the house. I sighed and laid down and debated on whether to go inside. My mind was still fighting with the fact that Blake was so upset about me finding my mate. Why should he care? He has a mate. Why must he make a big deal of me being mated to Alex? I know our packs never really got along, but I never knew why. I only knew what my father had told me, that there was always a struggle for land. That doesn’t explain why Blake hated Alex so much. My mind struggled to come up with a logical reason for this. Nothing could explain his hatred.

“Luna Kat, your test result is in. You are not pregnant.” Dr. Hale said. I sighed in relief. I couldn’t be pregnant right now. Not with everything going on. I wanted to have children with Alex, but I wanted to wait. At least till I was 18. It wasn’t uncommon for wolves to get pregnant at a young age, but I didn’t want to put my kids in this world with Blake still around.“Thank you, Dr. Hale,” I said with a small smile. He nodded to me and began packing his things up.
