As soon as the last ray of sunshine dwindled into new dusk, they rose for the destruction. The layer of darkness which was blanketing entire black forest was impenetrable, accompanied by the visible shift in the aura. Everything about that dusk was different and. . .deathly. At that particular dusk, the glinting canopies didn't sway and rustle on the song of the wind which carried the coldness and peace of snow-covered peaks– far above the never-ending nothingness. There was no fragrance of a newly formed minty forest bed, instead, it was the pre-death which stank the breeze at that dusk. There was no sign of life– no one would have been able to decipher, what lurked in the shadows of the forest. . .except one! Holding my breath, I focused on the tapping sound of footsteps nearing me under the blood resembling moonlight in the pitch-black forest. There was no memory of how I reached here or more disturbingly where I was.The ear-splitting cries of raven and nocturnal birds circled me while I hissed sharply as the pointed edge of iron net pierced my skin, drawing out droplets of blood. My eyes widened in fright as two crimson drops dripped down simultaneously, dissolving in the contaminated grey fluid, resonating a splash sound across hanging tendrils and stems. Too late.The moment of vacuum nothingness was short-lived as the roaring and rattling sounds neared me with double intensity. I followed my conscience and ran as if there was no tomorrow.

Stuck in the very middle of an unbelievable drama unfolding in front of my eyes and a nearing storm, I screamed at the top of my lungs, flinching away when she tried to place a soothing hand on my wounded shoulder. A deep rumble of thunder vibrated throughout the roof while loud cries of pain broke free of her throat. Both the sorceress tightened their grips as she tried to squirm out of their grasp. The third sorceress began chanting more loudly, standing by the edge of the wooden box and touched the crying lady's swollen belly with glowing hands. Her whole body shook in agony as a bone-burning sensation flowed inside her. Amidst the cloudburst and lung choking pain, she yelled in immense anguish. "Save my child, please." Her eyes began to droop while she stopped thrashing and squirming. One of the two sorceresses touched her closed eyes and whispered softly in her ear. ( 10 years ago ) The forest hummed with life, all around her.  There was a strange calmness across the horizon, that evening, on a warm June day. The curvy pathway in midst of the dense forest was covered with sanguine dry leaves which crunched beneath her bare feet as she moved forward.
