All Chapters of Damaged: Chapter 21 - Chapter 28

My birthday is today, my actual birthday.  This will be the first time I celebrated it on the correct day since I turned 2.  Una has planned a big party for me and I have no idea what a party is, but I’m excited because she’s excited.  I was so worried she was going to be angry that I got her captured and beaten by my uncle, but she says she never blamed for a second.  She was more worried that they would rape me again, until I told her what Asena did.

It’s been a month since I told her I want to marry her.  I have the ring, I’ve had it for awhile now, I just can’t think of a good way to propose.  I want it to be sweet and romantic, but not crowd drawing.  I’ve even gone as far as researching the top ten proposal ideas, and they all seem to extravagant.  It’s not that she doesn’t deserve extravagant, but she prefers the simpler things.

It’s been a month since Deacon and I found out that we’re having a baby, and I’m still over the moon with excitement.  Aunt Corvina has offered to be my doctor for the baby, but I’m hesitant.  Deacon thinks it’s a good idea, with all things considered, but she’s my aunt and I feel weird having her check on the baby like she has to.  I talked Deacon into having Doctor Jacobs do the ultra sounds and stuff with Corvina.  She will deliver our child, but I want the modern tool to monitor my baby’s growth and Corvina understands.

On November 1st, I felt a sharp pain in my stomach shortly after going to bed.  I thought I had just moved in my sleep, but as I tried to readjust, I felt another pain.  I pushed myself up in bed trying to get up.  When another pain hit, I let out a scream of agony.Deacon sat straight up looking at me with concern.  “What’s wrong?”
