Chapter: Chapter 1- Until Death do us part... Today is the day of my wedding. It's supposed to be the most joyous day of a young girl's life, but I am only 17, and well, to put it bluntly, I am not ready. The gown is what every girl dreams of, designer fashion, long white trellis with lace inlaid buttons down the back. A low V cut neckline with a lace choker with diamond-encrusted jewels. I didn't choose my dress, Father did. He is also the one who sold me off to the highest bidder. That is how the elites do it here; they offer their daughters to the man who can come up with the most considerable dowry. In my case, it was Micah Saunders, who owns the largest diamond c

Chapter: Chapter In Between- FriendshipA light tapping sound on my door jolted me out of the best sleep of my life. Whatever Kendra had done felt like a drug, addicting and perfect. I wanted her to do that every night, so I could sleep like a baby. Begrudgingly I removed myself from under the covers and slumped my way towards the door. There wasn’t a smell coming from whoever was on the other side; I assumed it was Byren or Kendra. They didn’t have a distinct scent or one at all for that matter. And of course, I was right. To my surprise, Byren stood, holding a tray of sweet-smelling treats and breakfast.&n

Chapter: Chapter 5- Training DayMy body is wrapped in a tight formfitting jumpsuit; it allows me to have all the movement as if I were naked. Of course, leaving me utterly self-conscious of the fabric clinging to every inch of my body. I felt like Mystic from Xmen, practically naked. Caleb said it was explicitly designed so that nothing would slow me down. Of course, she added her 2 cents on how attractive it made me look as well. Blushing feverishly, I recall rolling my eyes in her direction.Sitting in the corner of a large empty room, Ming is hunched over, resting on his knees, wrapping my hands in ba

Chapter: Chapter 4- Adjusting Dinner is held in a vast dining hall, like what Vikings would have gathered at, back on earth. Large, intricately carved wooden columns line the center of the room. Separating it into two sides, two long wooden mahogany tables with many hand-carved ridged back chairs are in place. Crystal chandeliers hang over the tables in a parallel row, shooting diamond-shaped light over the room. The clinking of glasses, silverware, and soft murmurs of conversations echo through the rooms cathedral ceilings, as waitresses and a solitary Butler stand at attention along the sides of the room. Over 130 beings are dining in this great hall.

Chapter: Chapter 3- "Heyamo" Vibrant lights pierce my eyes as I force my sedated eyelids to open. Groggily I search for familiar surroundings only to find none. The emptiness of space penetrates back at me through the tinted glass of the aircraft. Gasping for precious air, I attempt to accumulate myself.

Chapter: Chapter 2- The Escape3 am. Suddenly, I’m jolted from my sleep; Ming awkwardly grabs me and throws me over a shoulder.“What’s happening?” my shrill voice asks as I cling to him tightly. Then I smell the smoke. The house is ablaze.
