SMELLS & DISTRACTIONS

Kyle’s POV

“Remind me why am I friends with you all again”, I groaned for the umpteenth time as my fucker friends harassed me to wake up.

“Because no one wants to hang out with a sleeping beauty like you”, my future Beta and best friend, Xavier teased.

“Get up dude, we have to get out of here ASAP. We need to prepare for your birthday bash”, Ian said as he shook me violently.

“Guys, it’s just 7 am. Let me sleep”, I groaned as I covered my ears with the covers.

Everything went quiet after that, much to my relief but that was just the calm before the storm.

After a few minutes I found myself choking and sputtering on chilli powder as the fan flared up the spicy powder all over my face.

It seemed that I was not the only one affected.

8 other strong beasts were up from their beds and coughing their way towards me.

“Who the fuck placed chilli powder infront of the fan”, Sage sputtered out dangerously.

“THE TWINS”, someone shouted as I saw the two culprits dashing down the dorm hall.

Soon I was up on my twos and ran behind the twins promising myself to strangle them to death.

However, I felt a swift wind brush past me by my two sides and soon enough I saw the twins in a death grip under two insanely well-built and foxy hot men with deep brown orbs, as I reached the end of the hall. 

They were simply magnificent beasts. Hot was really a mild term for their dashing looks.

“Hey leave them alone if you don’t want to die”, I shouted.

“NO”, the captors of the twins roared.

“Guys, calm down”, Sage intervened. “Michael ! Lee ! Let the twins go”, he ordered.

“These bastards should be thrown in the Red Room Lake”, they spat.

“Hey ! Calm down jerks. You don’t wanna get into a fight with the birthday boy”, Xander smirked.

“Let them go guys. They owe us a treat now”, a newcomer cheerfully said as he joined us in the hall.

“Jacob, could you think about something other than treats for once !?”, the guy named Lee groaned as he smacked the newcomer at his back.

“Since everyone is here, I think we should introduce ourselves and then get out of here to join this dude’s birthday bash”, Bryant grinned.

“I am Kyle Green, son of Alpha of the Green Moss Pack. This is the future Beta of our pack, Xavier and John, my Delta. These are the naughty twins- Ryan and Ian, the warriors of our pack”, I introduced everyone to my new roommates.

“Interesting encounter but it was fun”, Ryan joked and everyone grinned.

“We are the Shadow Gang boys of the Diamond Heart Pack. My name is Lee and I am the Beta in waiting. These are Michael and Jacob, the future third and fourth in command.”

“Wait none of you is the Alpha ? You guys seemed to be pretty fast- you outran Kyle !!”, John asked in astonishment.

“That was our adrenaline rushing”, Michael grinned. “It has been quite some time since we picked up any fights”, he said.

“Ever since we burnt down our school at Diamond Ville, life has been pretty boring here”, Jacob groaned.

“Well let’s get ready for my birthday bash then and find the means to spice up your lives, fuckers”, I said as I pushed them back towards the room.

Soon we all were in the main town, out of the school premises, making arrangements for the big night.

Suddenly, I smelled the same intoxicating, musky scent again as we walked on the streets.

My green eyes must have turned black as Ian got creeped out when he suddenly turned around to face me.

“Dude, are you getting aroused on seeing my ass”, Ian squealed like a girl as he wiggled and swayed his hips infront of me dramatically.

“They are the grossest things I have ever seen”, I hissed in disgust as the twins teased and laughed at me. 

“There is this musky smell that I keep sniffing which is getting on my wolf’s nerves but I am unable to track the source since last week”, I confessed.

“Dude, you must be missing home and the woods. None of us can get a sniff of the smell that you are describing”, Xavier said.

My wolf was not ready to let go of the matter but soon everyone urged me to hurry up to prepare for the night.

I shook my head to calm down and soon joined them, forgetting about my minor distraction.
