It's been ten years since that incident, but Quan seemed to still be able to taste the rancid smell of white blood with the tip of her mind. Often the girl closed her eyes and took a deep breath, so that the glimpse could at least decrease.

Quan thought the time would be obscure the memories, but apparently she was too hopeful. At the very least, she had fooled herself, thinking that what she was doing was the right thing. Or she thought so.

Quan looked away. The teenager stared into the forest in the distance from behind the window beside her.

She wonders how her mother (she refuses to think of Eva as a stepmother) can become a Vocaship's Representative without the public knowing, and ends up with a black weapon (which she later found out was named the Stake Sword) from … she stopped the memories by force.

Quan took a deep breath, controlled herself. The Moa Forest that she looked at seems quiet and full of secrets.

It's okay, it's not big deal, she told herself.

She often went in there, just to clarify everything. The actions she took in order to commemorate her revenge were so quickly avenged. Another attempt to make guilt decrease on herself.

But why does Quan still feel that something is wrong? Is there anything missed? Really, she didn't understand. At all.

Even so, there was one thing she understood very well; namely hatred and revenge. Not to the killers of her mother, but to the other killers.

Something that still feels impossible.

How useless to be a child at that time. If only time could be repeated; Quan wants when the murder occurred, at least she was able to do useful things.

“Pst!”

Quan turned around and saw another pair of girls sitting in front of her. They look upset. Quan could say they almost seemed scary, if Quan didn't know who they really were.

The girl on the left with long snow white hair has a different eye color. Her right eye is white—the result of a donor she got as a result of Quan's past actions—and there are longitudinal scars in that eye. While the original healthy left eye is blue.

This one friend is a White People … a countryman with a group of killers that Quan once killed.

The other girl is a Silver People, and happens to have the same eye color as the color of her blood. Her dark blue hair is pigtailed.

Also, due to Quan's actions, there was a painful scar on her neck. However, the look in her eyes seemed more friendly than that scary impression.

Quan never felt this lucky to have a childhood friend like them, even after that last tragedy. One more list of causes of Quan guilt.

However, she could hardly say anything when they were determined to boast the scars in public. They said, it's a special thing that can make people look cool and popular. Thoughts that make Quan couldn't understand.

“If you keep daydreaming,” said the blue-haired girl, “you might miss interesting news from Mrs. Hilda!”

Quan looked at her. “You mean, the Annual Tour plan,” Quan declared. “Sounds ordinary.”

Quan's friend that named Abara sighed. She turned to the colleague next to her, as if to ask for help.

“What do you want from Exan to explain to me?” Quan asked casually, saying the name of different eyed girl next to Abara.

“What Ab meant was not a general topic, but rather a specific one,” Exan said bored.

“Tour location, you mean,” Quan said calmly.

Exan snorted. She knows that Quan already knows; Abara do not.

“Are you even listening?!” Abara impatience claimed.

Quan's turn to snort. Abara became Abara again; something that sometimes makes her not know what to feel.

“What do you expect?” Quan muttered lazily. “Of course I listened. The tour was held at Arev Village Ancient Site. I wasn't wrong, was I? I don't think so. And which part is the fun of the ancient site? We've been there.”

“Yes,” Exan said no less lazily. “More precisely thirteen years ago. And which part do you remember clearly from the ancient site?”

Abara grinned. “Maybe it's just rabbit satay and soybean juice.”

“Debris.” Quan continued to answer Exan, irritating Abara again. “And, no, I don't remember ever buying rabbit satay. It's a cute animal, how can I eat it?”

“And instead you eat five deer skewers,” Exan replied with a snort. “Even though I'm sure you really said that deer are cute animals and their horns are very pretty.”

Quan shrugged her shoulders.

“I'm an admirer of animals,” she promised. “But I can't lie to my tongue.”

“And you think rabbit meat is bad?” Exan asked doubtfully.

“I don't know,” Quan admitted. “Never wanted to try. They are like cats to me. Cute animals like that shouldn't be eaten.”

“Very clear, Quan,” Exan snorted again. “It's as clear as our conversation that starts from the tour site and continues with a discussion about the good of loving animals.”

“I don't understand.” Abara grumbled suddenly, preventing Quan from intending to debate Exan again. “I'm sure Quan was lost in thought. I'm sure even Quan didn't pay attention!”

Quan's lips raised slightly. The two Quan friends were roughly the same as her; has strange powers that are not good for health.

But Abara was even stranger. She will not be easily diverted, no matter if the interlocutor has changed the topic until their mouths are foamy.

“Then you misinterpreted the flash of confidence that you got,” Quan said with a grin.

Abara snorted.

“Un knowledgeable!" She answered curtly, indicating that what Quan said was true.

Abara and Exan turned to face forward again, and found Mrs. Hilda's expression glaring in annoyance because she had been feeling ignored. The other student start staring at the three of them.

Of course, the three friends looked back at their good classmates.

“Is there any problem?” said Quan while staring at some of them without moving her head.

It was funny when they were suddenly drawn to table, book, or Mrs. Hilda's face. What's wrong, Quan doesn't know. Even Mrs. Hilda also seemed to disagree with Quan's attitude.

Abara sounded holding back her laughter, then she turned slightly to Quan.

“So cold, Quan,” she whispered in a mockery. “Soooo cold!”

Because things like that sometimes happen, Quan just shrugs her shoulders.

“I'm just asking,” she said calmly. “Just that.”

When Mrs. Hilda returned to discussing the Arev Village Ancient Site, painful memories suddenly flooded Quan's mind again.

And there, the girl stared blankly at the reality in front of her. Turning back to another tragic event that happened to her.
