It's not bad to date in school, but be careful, be careful because sometimes the people you once trusted can be your worst nightmare." She advised.

“Thanks, Nancy, " Amma added.

“...You boys and your fake compliments, all you know how to do is to give false hope that's all," Kate told Kobby.

“I'm not like the rest, I am different, just one chance Kate," Kobby replied

“The famous national anthem, 'I'm different', there's no difference amongst you guys, you're all the same, the lies and heartbreak, Kobby I'm not ready for all this. Besides, you'd be at the University soon and then Kate Dadzie would be long forgotten, you'd meet beautiful girls there and I'd be left heartbroken. I'm sorry but my answer still remains no." Kate said.

“I'd prove to you, I am different Kate, I will." He added as he took her number. They talked for a while and then Kate helped Noëlla carry her stuff to the dorm. Her sister gave Kate some amount of money before they left school.

“Kobby was asking you out, right?" Amma asked her before they got to the dorm.

“Yea, but I said no so don't worry." She said.

“Why, he's a nice guy and different from the rest." Noëlla defended.

“That's what he said, so we exchanged contacts when he said he'd prove himself." Kate smiled.

“Okay, I'm sure he'd pass," Amma said as they entered the room.

“Bro, the shoddy how far( How far with the girl)?" Adade's friend asked.

“Bro a dey make progress, very soon she goes be my girl." He bragged.

“Okay, no yawa." His friend said as they walked off to the dorm.

Kobby and Kate had gotten closer to each other. They use to talk long hours on phone and WhatsApp. A day doesn't pass by when they do not talk to each other. Noëlla had started to fall for Adade.

They mostly were together during break time and before preps making Brieanna jealous but she masked it under fake support.

“So you girls are all dating, I'm the only one out," Xtha said to her friends as they walked to the class to study. Their end of term exams had started a week ago and it was left with five days till vacation.

“We aren't dating yet, we're just getting to know them better." Both Kate and Noëlla said at the same time.

“Jinx, you owe me a drink," Kate said sticking her tongue out.

“Okay, whatever makes you sleep at night," Xtha added as they got to class. Xtha, Kate, Noëlla, Leon and other two guys were both in the same study group while Brieanna, Adade and other girls and guys were also in the same study group.

Time passed and their end of terms exams was over. School had gone on vacation.

“Amma, won't you go out and have fun with your friends instead of just staying home lazying about." Her mom said one morning as she was leaving for work.

“Ma, I don't feel like going anywhere." She whined.

“Stop being lazy and go out with your friends, that's why it's called vacation, hoh." Her mom retorted.

“Ma, maate(I've heard you)" Amma agreed as she sent a WhatsApp message asking Kate and Xtha if they would like to go out to the mall.

“I'm in, it's boring at home anyways." Kate texted back.

“It's fine with me." Xtha also sent.

“Okay, so tomorrow then, we would meet at Accra Mall around 4 pm if it's okay by all of you." She texted back.

“Sure, " They both replied.

“Khobby, I need to talk to you." Noëlla banged on the door.

“Amma, wob3 bu pon no anaa ( Would you break the door down)?" He brother asked dragging his feet to open the door.

“Erheh, what is it?" He asked as she walked passed him and sat on his bed.

“Noëlla, state your mission and get out."He said bored.

“It's about Kate." She said.

“What about her." He said sitting up as his sister chuckled.

“She likes you, but she's scared." She told.

“Scared of what?" He inquired.

“Of you Khobby, a fine guy like you when you get to university you'd forget all about her. You will meet beautiful ladies and forget she ever existed. She is scared of the heartbreak." Amma explained.

“But I assured her I wouldn't leave." He said.

“Khobby, are you sure you won't, she would be in Shs 2 by then and you a university freshman, in Legon. Are you sure peer pressure won't push you into forgetting about her? Think about it." Noëlla said as she walked out of his room.

“Hey, I'm sorry I missed your call, I was talking to my brother." She said through the phone.

“It's fine, I just miss you," Adade said.

“I've missed you too dear," Amma added.

“Have you been hearing from Brieanna?" She asked him since they were both from the Ashanti Region.

“Oh, not really, I saw her yesterday at the mall." He lied. She had come to see him in his house yesterday, though nothing happened.

“Okay, tell her I said hi when next you see her, she hasn't been picking up my calls." She replied.

“I will." He said as they continued with their conversation.

Amma parked her car at the parking lot of the mall waiting for her friends. Xtha had called her that she was not far from the place and Kate was stuck in traffic.

“Finally!" Amma said locking her car and walking towards her friends. Their cars were not parked far away from hers.

“You didn't wait for long though." Kate teased.

“Hwe, it's almost been an hour woman," Amma said as they walked into the mall.

“Have you been hearing from Adade?" Xtha asked her friend.

“Yeah, I talked to him yesterday." She took a sip from her smoothie.

“Madam, mo date aaa, ma y3n hu so ooo ( If you're dating, let us know )," Xtha said.

“We aren't, not just yet." She sternly told her friend.
