Lucky for me I didn't bump into anyone on my way to the human cells. I managed to train my eyes on the road ahead which led me to my destination.

Fortunately there was no guards at the entrance and everywhere was extremely silent. I walked into the cell, most of the prisoners were asleep,and the few ones awake stared at me as I walked on.

"Look, it's her! The Emperor's mate!" A dirty looking woman screamed as I passed by her cell. Rumors truly spreads fast like wide fire.

"Zoe!" I screamed with a huge smile on my face when I saw her with Felicia.

"Cassidy!" They moved closer to the gate. "Wow! Look at you!" Their eyes examined me.

"You look beautiful!" Zoe exclaimed.

"I'm really happy to see you alive." I smiled.

"Yes..yes..Mikel healed me. And I am so happy for you too!"

"Cassidy..I must admit that you are lucky to be mated to the Emperor.." Felicia added.

"Oh..so you already heard about it too..."

"Yes..the guards didn't stop talking about it." Zoe answered.

"I brought something for you..." I handed them the stuffs in the bag to them

I wished I had packed enough so I could give out to the other women in the cell.

"I'm here because I wanted to see your faces."

"Food! Oh my God!" Zoe face lit up with more excitement as she settled to eat.

"You shouldn't have bothered about it. This is such a great risk...what if someone sees you?" Felicia said with a worried look on my face.

I bit the side of my cheeks. "No one saw me coming in here...just eat up Felicia."

"So how is the Emperor treating you?" Felicia whispered as she ate silently.

"We haven't spent anytime together.." I replied.

"God bless you Cassy! I haven't tasted something good like this in months..." Zoe grumbled as she ate hungrily.

"But where is Sophia?"

"She was taken away yesterday. I don't know her fate,maybe pet,slave or food source." Felicia said with a sad look. "I wish all these could end." She added and continued eating.

I narrated what happened at the meeting with the High Council. Tears leaked down her cheeks when I told her Natalie was picked as a pet. I told them about my days in the Emperor's suites,my plans to gain respect in this world and win the Emperor's heart.

"And do you think the Emperor can ever get over his hatred towards Humans?" Zoe asked.

"I believe he can if I can just earn his trust." I nodded.

"You have to be careful. There are lots of Vampires who aren't happy about you being mated to their Emperor." Felicia said.

I nodded in agreement. "Yes,I know. Listen I am willing to do anything for our kind to be free again." I held on to her hands through the space on the gate.

I wiped the tears that strayed down my cheeks. If only I could appeal to the Emperor to improve their feeding - daily burger isn't enough for anyone to live on.

"You should get going before any guards comes in to see you." Felicia said.

"Yes..Yes..she's right. And thank you for coming to see us." Zoe said.

I collected the plates, empty bottles and bag. "I'll come around again when I get the chance."

"Goodbye Cassidy..." They bidded me goodbye before I dashed out of the cell. Internally I felt fulfilled by just feeding them..and if only I could more.

I was almost close to the suites when I felt a presence behind me..like I was being followed. I turned back but saw no one - maybe it was my imagination.

"Hello Empress.." I yelped in shock when I turned to see Mikel standing in front of me. His golden eyes staring at me in the slightly dark hallways.

"Where are you coming from?"  He asked. I hid the bag behind my back.

"I..I..am going to the suites." I stuttered.

"The ball isn't over and the Emperor has been worried about you." He disappeared but only for the bag in my hand to disappear too.

"Food?" He smelled and waved the bag up in the air. "So you went to visit your old friends!" He blurted out.

Shit! He found out the truth! 

"Surprised?" He smirked. "Well..I followed you out of the hall,to the garden,back to the suites till you went into the human cell to say Hi to your friends."

So he must have heard everything I said to Felicia. That's not the problem! The issue is how do I get myself out of this?! I fought to control my shaking body. 

"What would be the Emperor's reaction if he finds out that his mate disobeyed a rule? We don't give food to prisoners!" He growled out.

"No..no.. please..I beg you don't tell the Emperor."

"Really?" I nodded. "What would you give me in return if I keep your secret?"

I looked down. "I don't have anything..Mikel." 

"Well...I really do have something you can do for me." He shrugged.

No! This is a trap! An innervoice snapped.

"Come with me..." He said.

I shook my head. "I don't want to go anywhere with you." I said shakily.

"It's either you come with me or I tell on you."

Oh my God! What do I do?! I am trying to earn the Emperor's trust! What if he finds out what I just did?! then it would be hard to work on my plans!

"I won't bite you Cassidy." His eyes litting in excitement.

"Okay.." I mumbled.

I felt tiny beads of sweat on my forehead and palms as I followed Mikel to God knows where. I shuddered hard,knowing that something bad might happen to me. But i would rather get punished by Mikel than face the Emperor's wrath.

Mikel led me into a dark room with just a dim bulb providing light in the room. I could hardly make out the things in the room. Where are we? His chambers?! My panic rises.

"This is the safest place I could think of..." He closed the door softly. Why is everywhere so dark?!

"I should get going now..." I whispered in fear.

"No..no..not too soon. We haven't even started anything and you want to leave." He grinned.

I froze when his knuckles brushed my cheeks, his golden eyes staring straight into mine. Cassidy! What are you doing?! You shouldn't be in this dark place with the man who desired to make me his pet! A voice scolded me.

"Get down on your kneels and suck me." Mikel ordered.

"What?!" I gaped and moved away from him.

"You heard me.."

"Yes I heard you..but you must be insane to think I would do such with you!" I raised my voice. He can't treat me like am his pet.

"Oh really? You feel because you are mated to the Emperor, I can't do whatever I want with you." He laughed.

"I am not going to engage in such act with you! I am not your pet!"

I should have known Mikel was up to no good. And I was a fool for following him into his chambers like an old loyal dog. Now I have to think of a way to get out of here..safely.

"I will act like you didn't say such thing to me." I made an attempt to leave but he grabbed my upper arm and swirled me to look at him.

"Listen to me,you understand that I am a member of the High Council,so disobeying me has a lot of consequences in which the Emperor might not be able to protect you!" He spat angrily.

"I don't care if you own the world!" I jerked free but he held on again..this time tightly.

"Hey! If you don't do as I say then I'll be left with no choice than to tell the Emperor your secret."

Oh my God! He was going to tell the Emperor about me giving food to my friends in the cell! Will Caden understand that I was only trying to help? Won't he feel betrayed if he finds out? Won't he order his men to throw me back to the human cell for questioning his orders? What do I do?!

"Be a good girl and go on your kneels and suck me."

Should I give in to Mikel's demand and save myself from Caden's wrath? What if I agree to Mikel's demand but then he tries to use it against me later on..like he's doing now? Caden would definitely hate me for getting involved with Mikel. I would ruin every chance of winning his trust! His people would hate me! No! I am not giving in to Mikel demand!

"I am not doing this with you! Go ahead and tell the Emperor that I fed the humans in cell." I said seriously. "I would bear the consequences...at least that's better than being caught in a dirty act with you." 

His expression changed. "How dare you turn me down?!"

"I will do it over again!"

Suddenly his hands shot out, impacting with my stomach, pinning me to the door.

"I'll have to teach you how to be a good girl!" He snarled again. 

The force of the punch on my abdomen knocked the breathe out of me and pains radiated through my belly. I gasped trying to breathe and talk at the same time.

"So.. you're really going to hit me because...I turned you down?"

He smiled cruelly,another hit on my face. "On your kneels!"

No! I would rather die than give in. "I'm..sorry...I didn't mean to.. I cant-"

Another hard punch on my belly. The pain was so deep that I doubted if I would be able to breathe again. Terror shot through me when I realized what he wanted to do. Mikel unzipped his pants quickly,snatched my hand and wrapped it around his very hard shaft.

I screamed but he clamped his free hand over my mouth. "Feel what you've been missing.."

I tried to move away from him but he was too strong even as he stroked my hand up and down his length. Mikel moaned in pleasure.

"The fact that you're mated to the Emperor doesn't mean I cannot force you to do what I want. You still owe me!" His voice was deadly calm as he threatened me.

Tears flowed down my cheeks. "I'll pardon you today..but next time I won't be nice. " He nodded towards my hands as he also tried to kiss me.

I tried pushing him away but lips landed on my neck. "If you say anything to anyone,it won't be your hand next time but your pretty little lips will be wrapped around my cock. Do we clearly understand each other?!"

My hands went to his face,nails digging into any spot and Mikel groaned out in pains. No doubt my nails went into his eyeballs. I took that chance to throw a kick in his groins before he fell to the ground,losing his balance. I didn't know where the strength came from but I knew I had to defend myself before he does something worse to me.

"You..bitch!" He spat and tried to grab my ankle when I reached for the knob. I kept kicking him to free myself but Mikel was damn too strong. One last kick in his belly and then he shouted.

"Get the fuck out!" Abruptly he released me after the kick in his groins again.

Uncontrollable tears flowed down my cheeks as I ran out of the room
