LOGINKillian POV
What just happened here? I came to deliver and install some counters, and I found this petite hurricane on the floor behind the bar, pants soaked up in what smelled like tequila, looking up at me with the most confused beautiful persian blue eyes and full luscious parted lips. Just the thought about them wrapped around me put my body in overdrive, and touching her hand didn’t help either, as an electrical current seemed to jump from her fingers to mine, leaving my arm numb, coursing through my back down my groin. Man, just the sight of her made me horny. It has been a long time since I felt this way towards a woman. Well, I had Bailey at home, but it was different. When I thought she was only the bartender, she yelled like a sergeant accustomed to give orders, and marched out of the room. I followed her with my eyes, walking away in those skinny jeans hugging her narrow hips and nicely shaped legs, leaving a lot to my imagination, until she disappeared from my sight. It took me a few minutes to come to my senses again and shake that haze out of my mind.
“Who is she?” I asked the girl she called out to help me.
“Victoria Gallagher, the owner, and she must have liked you,” she grinned.
“Why would you say that?” I looked at her smug face and her grin widened.
“If she treats you like shit, she likes you, you get used to it!” She winked at me. “Now, how can I be of any help, mister...?”
“Oh, Killian… Duncan,” once more I zoned out, and a giggle brought me back from wandering to that little hurricane, as I met her eyes full of suspicion, studying me. “Ok, I just need to know where they go, and in about an hour or two I’m out of your hair, and you tell your boss I’ll send her the bill tomorrow,” what was wrong with me? I felt totally lost and out of my turf. I needed to get busy and put that Victoria in the back of my mind. Victoria, her name felt right in my mouth, and suited her.
“Mr. Duncan are you coming?” jeez, now it was my turn to march to my truck and ask the guys to bring the counters inside.
For almost two hours, I worked nonstop, I didn’t give myself the chance to think anymore. I loved my job. Working with wood was so rewarding, they could be shaped into so many beautiful things. I worked with regular cataloged furniture, but what I liked most was my custom-made ones. I loved to work with my hands, let my imagination lead me, and give life to people's desires.
For as long as I was there, she didn’t show up anymore, so I finished my job, cleaned up my mess, and left. It was still four in the afternoon and I had more work to finish in my carpentry. I had amazing memories of this town from my childhood, when my parents used to bring my sister and I to spend summer vacation in my grandparents' house. It was a small town, but full of life, tourists coming and going, and that what made it special.
Bailey and I decided to try a new life and leave London, when Luke, our nephew, started to get in trouble with the wrong crowd. I transferred my business, and moved here a few months ago, and I couldn’t be happier. I also had a side business, my whole life I studied alchemy, and I built a nice laboratory in the back of my carpentry, with all the latest modern items I could get my hands on. Customers from all over the world reached me and that earned me a lot of money, so to tell the truth I didn’t quite know which was the side business, my carpentry or my lab. Once there, I got straight to the task ahead, I was working on a crib, it just had been ordered, and the lucky parents wanted something out of a fairy tale for their little princess. Unfortunately I couldn’t concentrate on what I was doing, because a certain petite brunette haunted my mind, and I felt so restless, I had to see her again, even if it was from a distance.
“Ouch! Shit!” I yelled without patience and shook my hand. I was so out of it, I managed to cut myself with the carving knife.
“Something wrong, bro?” Kevin peeked from the door, studying my grim face.
“No, nothing to worry about it. I’m just a little distracted, that’s all.”
“You, distracted. That’s news to me,” Kevin was a good friend, and we worked together for a long time. When I decided to move away, he followed us here with his family.
“Yeah, man. It appears I have a lot on my mind. I’ll be right back,” and wrapping my palm in a piece of rag, I stepped in my lab and looked for my new healing formula.
Opening the bottle and dripping a few drops on top of the cut, I hissed with the burning that followed, and a few minutes later the stinging gave place to a nice and warm sensation. Now I just needed to wait a few hours, and healing would be complete. I sat back on my chair and closed my eyes, and there she was, crowding my head with those sultry lips, looking at me. Jeez, I just met her, we didn’t even exchange more than a half dozen words, and I couldn’t get her out of brains! Just to think about her my body reacted in a very hard and painful way. I had to see her again, maybe I dreamt all of it, she wasn’t real, but the sensations running through my body like a roller-coaster were very disturbing. She owned one of the most famous pubs in town, “Witch’s Brew” it matched her perfectly. I’ve never been there, it was Friday, so I was going to pay her a visit, and see how real she gets.
Ten in the evening I parked the car in a nearby street, as the place was packed, and summer started, the touristic season full on, with the night warm and inviting. I made my way inside the pub, dogging away all the dancing and screaming people, going on a hype with some sort of show happening there, squishing myself closer, my world narrowed on my petite hurricane, dancing on top of the bar, her black as coal hair tied in a high ponytail, shaking as she moved, a fitting white tank top snuggling her beautiful round full breasts, with a few long loose collars dangling around her neck, as another pair of skinny black jeans molded her body perfectly, and black mid calf high heels boots adorned her feet, while juggling bottles and shot glasses in the air.
I didn’t have the power in me to take my eyes away from the beauty rocking on top of that counter at the pace of the music and totally concentrated on her moves. Once in a while she would spin and go down on some jerks with their mouths opened at her feet, waiting for her to fill them with whatever booze she was holding. Out of the blue, a very nasty feeling took over my chest, and I started seeing red when I noticed the look on those jerks, they were stripping her naked with their eyes, and it didn’t settle well with me. Not that I didn’t do the same, but it was different, I was jealous of her, and I wanted to drag her out of there, away from those creeps, then the music came to an end, and our eyes met.
Time froze right there with those piercing persian blue eyes glaring at me, and the bottle of bourbon she held suddenly dropped, crashing on the counter, then to the ground.
“Shit!” she cursed, jumping to the floor, and leaving the bar, when another bartender stepped in her place. I didn’t waste a minute and followed her, as I cornered her close to the bathrooms.
“Stop!” I ordered. She came into a halt, but didn’t turn back. She breathed heavily, and I didn’t know if it was because of all the dancing on the bar, or she was afraid of me. I approached her from behind, gripping her by the nape, my thumb drawing soft circles in the base of her neck as I towered over her, turning her to me, and by the next second I had her trapped between my body and the wall. I’ve never attacked a woman before, but something in her just made me lose my sense of control, and when her tongue darted out to lick her sudden dried lips, I couldn’t hold anymore, descending my mouth on her lips, diving my tongue inside and claiming hers. God, she was sweet, just like I imagined. My body came alive when her hands circled my neck, and she kissed me back with the same fire, losing herself in the moment and deepening the kiss, like if I was the air she breathed.
When I stepped back once more, I hit the outside arm of my couch losing my balance, and I grabbed his shirt trying to steady myself, but I ended up pulling both of us to the cushions with Killian almost falling on top of me, if it wasn’t for his quick thinking, and rolling us to the floor with me toppling him, I'd be squashed by his huge frame like a bug. We were face to face and locked eyes, not even a blink. The feeling of his muscled body against mine mixed with the cedar and maple, emanating from his heated skin was a drugging combination, driving my mind into a hazy state. Biting my bottom lip I shuddered, and by the wicked smile that blossomed on his lip
My nerves were a wreck, and I was already going up the walls, when my cell phone beeped.“Niall! Did you find him? How is he?” I didn’t even let the man speak, and I bombarded him with questions, as I was worried sick about Teague. He had disappeared and closed himself off, since I told him I found my mate.“He’s ok, don’t worry.” he’s smooth voice came through, washing away my concerns.
Teague POV“Teague!” I heard Niall literally growling at me from above all the noises going around. “What’s got into you, brother? Vicky is worried sick!” I’ve been in a 24h bar, in the opposite side
***MATURE CONTENT WARNING***I didn’t know how such big hands could be so gentle, and caressed my flushed hot skin with exquisite tenderness, his fingertip
I’ve never felt this way, the moment he stepped foot into Witch’s Brew, his gingery woody scent washed over me, even with all the scents lingering around, coming from people mingling with each other and all the booze going on, I knew he was in my pub. I had to keep myself together to finish the task at the bar, but when the music ended, and I met his hazel eyes my control flew out the window, and I made a mess. Now, I was here against a wall, kissing him nonsense, as if I was drowning in a stormy sea of emotions, and with every struggle to surface, more to the bottom of the ocean I would sink.
